I'll be honest with you anon, It's quite difficult to get used with an arcade stick if are comfortable with the controller.

Speaking from experience, I'm still struggling with my arcade stick. Struggling with inputs I can easily do with a normal dpad.

To be honest, I just got an arcade stick quite recently, so i'm still learning how to use it properly, but if there is real benefits from using an arcade stick (better and more precise inputs) then that is something I'm still waiting to happen.

If we say that 1,000 of those players are good, 700 are okay that leaves 300 at the lower levels.

Break it down more that each 100 is a skill gap. That means at any time there would be 100 at your skill to play, but then lets go 25 will have a decent connections.

Playing 25 matches is a lot for a new player, never mind rematches. Certainly enough.

its tekken. most of the game is learning everyone's strings/buttons and another large bulk is just how to move around and defend yourself against those moves.

actually playing your character and doing combos is fun and everything is mostly simple in tekken other than that. you find launchers and crush moves and all your various properties and string routes and every time you work a new button into your game it feels like growth of character understanding. think of street fighter, characters have like 20 normal attacks or so, tekken is more like 100-200 or something, i don't even know. but since you are working within the framework of tekken, it becomes easy to identify which ones are your good options at any given time. one entry example is frames. i think 10-12f is the tekken equivalent of 3f in street fighter, so a quick jab or dragon punch reversal. if something is 10-15 frames in tekken it's pretty fast and could be suitable as a punish.

Yes, but PS4 is the tournament-standard, not PC. On top of that, most Asian players have a console, but not a PC capable of running Tekken 7. If you want to play with the few good American players that exist and everyone in the country of Brazil, get the PC version.

Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!

If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.
