Set up a code between the two of you, have one searching for the code and the other hosting the code. No lobby system unfortunately its per mission. Not sure if the searcher has to have finished the missions too if you are using a code. But for help anyone you have to have beaten the missions to help out.

I remember his boss fight was really difficult in the 1st game, but he was worth it in the end. He could destroy the screen without even needing his special attack.

Too bad he is MP only on the second game, and they replaced him with Caesar who isn't as fun to play as.

Come around from the rear (the ice area) and kill the Archdemon.
It's just a shortcut for if you wanna take Monster Medals from one area to another (I think so anyway, I've never actually tried to see if they remain).

Snow area is entrance is blocked by a white shield.
