I played it on hard mode, at first they literally kill you in one hit, after you grind they become fodder.
There wasn't a point where they were challanging. You could argue that otk bandits are challanging but your character deals (literally) zero damage, or such a small amount that their health isn't visibly ticking down after a flurry of attacks.

What do I think? I think there should be a Dragons Dogma 2 already.

Single player MMO with above average combat for an RPG. Only real noteworthy thing about it is the giant bosses.

It's more novel than it''s enjoyable.

Bunch of great ideas that could be executed better. I want a sequel so bad that improves climbing and advantages/disadvantages depending on your size.

I fucking love it, still playing it. But the game is obviously unfinished and just wrapped up:
>Romance plots mean nothing, male options even less, and only two have special cutscenes.
>World is terribly barren.
>NPCs in which you could allegedly earn affiliation and has a special escort quest for it means nothing.
>Whole areas containing nothing, Bloodwater Bay has a battelfield there yet is only used for escort quests.
It's not for everyone for sure, especially those who do not like going through tedious bullshit to get to the fun part, (BBI is the best part imo, you need to be Post-Dragon if you want to stand a chance). Also, that really cheesy Old English, A+

What's there is mostly good, especially the combat. The issue is the world itself feels like they ran out of ideas or budget or both and just cut it off where they were at.

All a sequel needs is a bigger more fleshed out world, a little bit more of a fast travel system, and a little bit deeper character leveling system and it's goty. 4 player dungeon co op and it's goat.

Fuck, just make it an mmo and it's the epitome of video games.

Really was a bad idea considering the protagonist has no personality either. Reminds me of DQIX, but at least that one had constant supporting characters, plus a solo run is much more viable.

I thought it was more that they didn't want the dragon to be defeated because then a) Gransys would've killed two dragons, making them incredibly powerful, and b) as long as the dragon was tearing things up there, it wasn't burning down their own kingdoms.

They stay the same. Pawn is only deleted if you start a completely new game

Why can't pawns play as hybrid classes though? Or am I missing some way to change to those vocations?
