Disappointed but hopeful that Crimson fixes the issues plaguing it. The quality of the game drops considerably after Casino. Futaba's palace is the only good palace in the game because it doesn't follow the formula of >FIND BAD ADULT AND STEAL HIS HEART!!1

Social links are STILL removed from the story. Date someone and no one reacts whatsoever. You go through character development with party members in their social link and then the game ignores that because there is no way the game can compensate every story interaction for where you are at each SL.

Because it is filling out a calander, the story still has to do things where it is in one of the two phases

And it doesn't even manage to successfully do that because the main story ends in December anyways

Stealth and platforming elements in a turn based RPG was a mistake and I hope Atlus learn from this in the future. I enjoyed the game for what it was but it is not the best JRPG ever made, not even close. Persona 5 is an 85 game, not 94. It honestly pisses me off that people are ignoring Yakuza and Nier for this.

The pre-rendered cutscenes are absolute epitome of the weebiest of weebshit. Not a frame goes by where you aren't aware that they were made in Japan.

Good game but it made me want to play a real SMT more than anything. SMTV can't come out soon enough.

I put more hours into it than p3/p4 but like those, I ended up going back and playing the mainline/other offshoot SMT games.

It's good the dungeons and battles are moving closer to the real SMT though.

Disagree, they added some nice flavor. Sure as shit more fun than the crap in P3 and P4. Less annoying than SMTIV too. The stealth was too mindless though, I think something like 95% of my encounters were preemptive strikes.

Yakuza had poor sales numbers and the fact that it went on sale for 50% off 2 months after release. Still impressive considering the game came out for it's main audience in 2015.

Nier may be more popular but given the chance, most people I know would opt for Persona 5 instead.

It's great considering both these series have had a cult following in the west for god knows how long. Yakuza 1 remake coming out in August and Yakuza 6 localization early 2018 would have never happened in the past considering it took SEGA 4 years to localize Yakuza 5 after poor sales in the west. We might be getting a Drakengard collection and possibly even an original NieR remaster for current gen.
