Quality only gamer and a PC gamer main here, I bought a super cheap second hand ShitStation 3 for 10% of the original retail price and a ShitStation 4 for 25% of the original retail price, this way, Sony didn't get any of my money :)

The only good games on these weak gaming devices are NieR, Demon's Souls and Bloodborne. You can see the evidence in the picture I included in this post.

There are some interesting upcoming PlayStation games though, I am keeping an eye on them:

It doesn't always have to do with actually getting released. Until games are actually out, you shouldn't buy a system for them. Quality, even from devs with experience and solid portfolios can be a crap shoot. They can fuck it up either with weird design decisions or some other fuck up of development.

That said, there are enough exclusives out for the PS4 now that I consider it a worth while purchase. But you should never, ever buy a console on the promise of games in the future. Only if it's going to meet your demands at the moment of purchase. Whether that's 1 game or 10, is up to the individual. But buying on a promise has consistently led to heartbreak. There's just no reason for it.
