The PC version has fucked mipmaps anyway. It requires some ini modification so the game load the highest quality mipmaps and make the textures look decent.

It's about developers taking the time to actually put in these details that make the whole game greater than the sum of its parts. Little details you have to actively seek out. Like melting ice cubes in that bar in MGS2, or shooting oil barrels in MoH:AA and having the fluid level actually lower.

Cool shit like that is few and far between now, and people like you who lower your standards are a cancer to the industry. If a game made 10+ years ago can have dynamic mirror why can't one made today? They didn't lose the technology anon they just stopped putting as much effort in.

Yeah and a lot of that stuff is slipping in quality too due to development deadlines and forced cross platform functionality limiting how far you can push visual fidelity. Game studios have gone from small teams that work well together and work to fit every little bit together to the best of their ability. Now you have a massive amount of money in the industry which has led to these 1000+ people teams working out of studios that are scattered geographically. There's just not as much cohesion in the design and development process anymore.
