I didn't realise till years later that the only metallica stuff I liked was shit he was involved in. I'm glad he never ended up propping up metallica and we got megadeth as well as metallica. All the more metal to make the world go round.

On one of the first weeksi there was Dead Roots Stirring. It was amazing. Even tho song is so long there is little repetitiveness.

I tend to like structure so am not the biggest fan of hardcore/posthardcore shit. Pantera, Lamb of God, early Mastodon off the top of my head. I like groove, some thrash and sludge with controlled speed and touches of melody.

My favourite with be prog, dream theather would be my favourite, I know they suck now though

I have a fairly limited appeal towards trash, I don't like everything but the things that I do like are some of my favourites.

for instance I don't like slayer, kreator, sodom

but I fucking love: megadeth, annhiliator ( only their first four albums though) , testament, voivod, Flotsam and jetsam ( only the first two), and was suprised how much I enjoyed forbidden,

and then power metal, I love some bands like sonata artica, but hate others like helloween which is were everyone claims to get their inspiration from.
Running wild are also good but I don't consider them power metal.
