Been playing since 2015. It's like 60%-40% in terms of quality. It's good we got a bunch of free shit but it's bad for everything else. Master Skins becoming 100 shards is garbage. The Overwatch event has already stayed it's welcome and we have like 4-5 weeks of it. So the already autistic fanbase of HOTS who never talks or listens is even worse because apparently the Overwatch fanbase is even more autistic. There's no way to earn gold anymore aside from matches and buying a stimpack. Brawls award chests which is pointless because you can't pay for fucking rerolls. Loadouts are beyond bugged , sprays are pointless. Hanamura literally the worst map ever added to the game , it's just a fucking mess. Nobody gives a shit about D.Va aside from a few fags on reddit and korean kucks.

Hero design is great, heroes are a ton of fun to play except for a few boring ones
Maps are kind of cancer, but you play something different every match so it stays sorta fresh
Balance is all over the place and most heroes have some situation use, few are just plain worthless

I've been playing it pretty regularly for the last few months with a handful of friends, it's pretty fun most of the time

That said, I don't think it would be fun to play solo in the same way that playing league sucks a lot of the time. The people who play these types of games can be real fucking niggers in chat, especially when they're on your team. It's not so bad when you have one or two on your team, but if there were 4 every game I'd get pretty fucking sick of it

It varies, the older heroes are by far worse about this than the new ones

The newer Diablo heroes don't have this problem for example, it is real obvious what Xul, Li Ming, Cassia and Kharazhim do, and the game has loud and effectual audio and visual tells when they use their abilities

And then on the other hand there's heroes like Raynor and Nova that don't seem to do anything, or heroes like Gul'dan who has an obvious effect on the battlefield with his damage but his spell effects are really underwhelming

There is no variety. Most maps are shit. Most of the time there is only one legit build for every character, and building something else doesn't make it fun, it just turns you into trash.

The game is too casualised to feel any kind of impact unless you're playing something overbalanced like Varian. And even that is not fun.

It's just a slow paced moba with map gimmicks, which are all ubiquitous. Lane management seems minimal but the core many vs a few less than many is fun enough in that thrill "death means up to a minute respawn".
