Hector tends to get a lot more mileage out of Vantage nowadays because it compliments very nicely with his innate Quick Riposte 2. Wings of Mercy is pretty neat to take offensive teams by surprise though.

Close Counter is overrated because Takumi is easily ORKOed now. So, turning him into a player-phase offensive monster is actually the best way to use him now.

Takumi does it better than Setsuna because of his higher strength, which actually matters because it allows him to barely 2HKO a few crucial units that Setsuna cannot. He won't quad as often as her, but his damage is superior.

Well, WoM is contingent on getting an ally underneath 50% in the first place, so it definitely relies more on your team composition in comparison to Vantage. Granted, there are easy ways of making this happen (FuryDesp mages, Ardent Sacrifice, etc), but it's just as easy to have someone reposition Hector to a spot where he can pivot into the front lines too.

The good thing with Vantage is that Hector can bait entire teams into killing themselves on him especially if you can keep him alive with e.g. ardent sacrifices. Quick Riposte is inferior in that regard because of the HP threshold.

A properly built Reinhardt with +Atk, deathblow, and Cav memes can ORKO every red, every relevant blue and colorless, and loads of greens as well before they can do anything. There's only a couple of units in the game like Julia or Fae that can survive his attack.
Facing a full cav team with one or more Reinhardts on a shitty map is hell.
Similarly if you have one then you can steamroll everything only needing to worry about the handful of aforementioned characters he can't easily kill.

Old Tiki should be able to handle the right side with Lightning Breathe+ I think. I did it with a 4* Tharja, 5* Bunnycina a 5* Hector and an Olivia.
Buff Tharja with Olivia and Bunnycina, kill the red sword on the right, pass the turn and the green tome should kill himself to Tharja.
Kill Xander with Bunnycina, Kill the blue with Hector (or a strong enough green, dancing him if necessary).
And last deal with the healer.

Without any buffs at all if you've set her up with the skills, she still ends up murdering pretty much every melee-using blue and green, and with just Eirika or Ephraim standing next to her at the start of her turn, she gets to one-shotting Takumi and killing reds easily.

Fucking who? Like do some math. If you're acting like a character can't use buffs, here's what any mage would need just to kill a neutral HP, neutral Res Takumi in one hit:

Attack + 5 (Life and Death 3) + 14 (highest Att for spells) - 18 (Res) >= 40 HP

You'd need at least 39 Attack. The only mage that can get that without buffs is a +Atk Sanaki, otherwise you'd need a +Atk Linde or Julia with the +1 Atk Sacred Seal equipped. Nevermind Life and Death being a waste on Sanaki and Julia already.
