I was shocked at first, but back then it really wasn't a guaranteed bullet-list item. The 360 needed an adaptor, and iirc the Wii couldn't connect to WPA2(I could be wrong there). Or WPA if WPA2 wasn't established yet. And I don't think household wifi itself was as commonplace as it was after 2008.

This console was such an utter piece of garbage I only ever had 2 games on it which interested me. Literally haven't played a game on it in 3/4 years. I don't even need it as a media player anymore as my new tv supports USB playback.

They're pretty much ticking time bombs. My 60gb died five years ago despite me babying it. My friend's 80gb finally bit the dust as well last year. I don't know anyone personally that has a working fat PS3 anymore.

If you're looking for PS2 games just get a fat ps2, a network adapter, old compatible HDD and softmod/load it with games. If not that just get one of the slim PS3s. I have one and it has been trucking along with zero issues since it was purchased. I have no idea of the quality of those super slims though but they felt cheap as fuck when I messed with one.

This disappoints me. I've got a PS2 in storage but I hate taking the thing out whenever I want to play something like SMT because my interest in games I've beaten ebbs and flows. Sometimes it's days straight of playing till I beat it again, sometimes I just pick it up for a couple of hours and then set it down for weeks.

Maybe I'll just buy a slim PS3. I really do still need to work on the huge backlog I had for it before my old one died.
