I can't bring up a screenshot because I'm pooping and not in front of my main computer, but Galena's alt outfit is pretty blatantly styled after old plague doctor uniforms, with the beaked mask and long, heavy robe, the latter of which is the exact opposite of Hunter's sheer amount of skin showing, arguably what she's most remembered for and not a silly hat on her head.

10 hours amigos

i played the beta and found it enjoyable. i got poor performance unless i used 25 percent internal resolution which was solid 60 fps, EXCEPT for a few areas around the map. i was really disappointed in that. i also disliked how big the maps were. i didn't get to try dueling, because firstly i didn't have three champions (what?), and secondly i wasn't sure if my computer is good enough to do well at all, but if you are supposed to duel on the two maps they have available i could see it as being boring. still, pleasantly surprised, i really liked playing as sorlag even if "she" was just a lizardgirl (but i also have no fucking clue what sorlag looks like even having played quake 3, i see why they redesigned the character). i hope by release it runs better somehow but im afraid it will only run worse, i really need to upgrade

i thought the thing about anarki in q3a was that he turned himself into a cyborg and ripped off his skin and shit just because he really fucking loves video games, a bit of dark humor relating to the old "winners don't do drugs" FBI splash screens in vidya- his drug is video games themselves and his version of chasing the dragon is a new visor firmware upgrade or an upgraded asshole charging port or w/e, which is overall a pretty damn cool theme for a character, especially if you interpret it as that he literally thinks he's playing quake 3 while he's stuck in the arena eternal

Buy a 144hz monitor, XL2411 is the go-to these days, and play on lowest possible settings to reduce input latency even if you're already getting smooth capped framerates maxed out. These things really do make a significant difference.

difference between bhop and strafejumping is that you keep W held down for strafe jumping

but for general QC specific stuff ill just steal this from the forums:

weapons = 5 sec respawn timer

mega health = 30 sec (this based off it being pick up, so when you see the MEGA was picked up but has half bars in the circle formation, you know its coming back in 15 second so if you time everything correctly you can go for it in 15seconds)

green suit (heavy armor) = 30 sec

Small chest plates/looks like shield (green as well) (light armor) = 15 seconds

zoomed heavy machine gun = does 12 dmg

zoomed railgun = 100dmg

If you go up a jumppad and are deep into the jump pad, holding crouch or your jump key will prevent you from going in the air. If you are not deep in the jump-pad it wont help. From my understand this doesnt work with Air-control/bhopping champs, never worked with anarki.

if you played CSS or CSGO, getting the hang of bhopping with anarki doesnt take long, 2 matches~. His ADADADA just feel weird since its super fast.

Clutches shield does not fully protect you; you can be shot in the back

If you are close enough to nyx when she ghost walks; you can sometimes hear her footsteps.

Visor counters nyx's ghostwalk (he has a wallhack for a few seconds)

The goal with anarki's ability is not to always save it, popping it immediately makes him not a one shot kill with a rail like Nyx or Slash. If you get Anarki to his max health he is incredibly strong. his ADADAD is also very strong.

Doomguy is not in the game, at least not yet. Quake doesn't have a singular, connected universe. Q1 and Q2 are not directly connected to Q3, for instance. Nor is QC connected to any of the previous games.

To answer your question: yes, he'll be in the game mostly because it's cool.

The movement is pure traditional quake strafe jumping. Anarki has the promode movement where if you stop strafing you get massive air control. I think that one champion with the blue hair has a babbymode where you build momentum by just holding W and you can maintain it around corners by walljumping but I didn't actually play her.

So to get this straight. Abilities and stats don't mean that much and I can defeat or easily kill any and all Champions with whatever other Champions I choose. Generally yes. If your aim isn't very good anarki can become a real pain in the ass refilling his health mid-fight, but he's locked into an animation for 2-3 seconds while doing it so it really comes down to your ability to do about 90 damage in those 2-3 seconds.

This problem is compounded by the trash hit detection / netcode right now.

The abilities and stats aren't a total non-factor but there's no free kills or things like overwatch ults, everything can be countered by basic play. Acid spit guy, just don't stand in the acid spit. Charge juggernaut guy, just strafe jump out of the way. Invisible tumblr chick, if you see her vanish keep moving so she doesn't stand inside you and "telefrag" you when she reappears. Visor's wallhacks are kind of a non issue, I didn't find them to be useful at all, they don't last very long and have a long cooldown.
