I'm going with a Ryzen 5 1600 with some basic B350 motherboard next month.
I'm hoping they release something good within the supposed 4 year lifespan of AM4 platform, because then I can buy the last compatible upgrade on AM4, then not having to worry again for years to come.
Here's to hoping, at least.

Stock Markets are artificially inflated, when they sink its to let people buy in before they release a new product, once they release the product it will flip flop for a few more months, then tank again before the release of another product so they keep getting more dum dums to buy into shares.

You guys are pretty fucking stupid if you buy shares, the only ones that are worth investing in are companies that skyrocket from nothing like facebook.

as much as intel is an isreali company, it's actual fully considered a US company and is subject to division under the law. If AMD goes, intel gets chopped up and put on a 3 centimeter leash. Then we will have legitimate competition
as of now intel actually gives large amounts of money to AMD, intel loves them. They are incredibly adept at being fuck ups so of course intel wants to just barely keep them kicking. but supporting AMD just cause "muh monopoly boogerman muh underdog" is fucking stupid since we won't actually get competition

>>
>stocks goes up more than 500%
>a bit of a pitfall and virgins are already shitposting on /v/ about AMD's demise

The dirty little secret is that AMD was desperate for money, so desperate that they gave a good deal to both companies so they could get any money, so they're not swimming in money with those console deals.
>>
>>375890705
Stock price isn't as important as market capitalization, but Nvidia is still miles ahead of AMD in market capitalization because they have much more presence in other sectors like the server and AI departments, as well as in speculative areas such as self-driving cars. Profit margins for consoles are also extremely low.

>>
>>375891238
in other words, people cherrypicked benchmarks of a single game for shock effect
>>
>>375891238
Min FPS is literally irrelevant though, my i5 7600K has never given me a single stutter. Granted, I don't keep a resource-hog browser like Chrome running with 30 tabs of 4chanX-enabled /v/ threads, maybe some people here do.
>>
>>375891238
Nope. He was just guessing that the game ran so fast it caused stuttering.
>>
>>375891304
pretty sure nvidia is doing it for rendering the world around the car or something
>>

They make the hardware for self-driving cars, and they have contracts with companies like Ford and Tesla to work on it, but they also work on the AI and software for it.
>>
>>375891437
right, so the point is that the game performs fine (with good minimums/lows) as long as you don't pass something like 190+ fps. It's once you get past that point (which happens when you test the game with monster cards like titans) that you get the terrible performance

Not butthurt about anything really. You come on here to bitching about Ryzen from a personal stand-point and nothing else. R7 1700 (non-X) costs the same as the 7700k, and they both perform similarly. Also, considering AMD plans to keep their primary focus on AM4 for the next supposed 4 years, if you go for Ryzen you won't need a new motherboard with every new CPU line-up.
There's no reason to buy Ryzen 7 if you're solely playing games. You buy whichever is going to benefit your use-case, which in yours is gaming. Meanwhile, Other people will go for Ryzen for the sake of decent multi-core performance in relation to Intel.
>Wait...are you the "Pajeet" everyone warned about ? Are you sure you're in the right place ? this is /v/, not /g/.
What I did was assure you to go for a better processor for your specific use-case. That doesn't make anyone a "Pajeet". It's a shitty response, and you're genuinely retarded if you have to respond to calling someone that.
>why-minimum-fps-can-be-misleading/
Minimum framerates matter because you don't want to have a game drop to lower than acceptable framerates from the typical smooth framerates you're playing at. That entire link can fuck off, all it says is some essentially "something that's not supposed to happen happens inconsistently.

Why would you chose stuttering over not stuttering? You actually think you'll notice the difference between 116fps and 121fps averages?
>>
>>375889125
Because games don't work like that.
>>
>>375881452
>>375882276
that's xboxhueg. I can't wait for the Ayymd meme to be dead. Let the FTC nuke Nvidia and bring some genuine competition on the market.

>You actually think you'll notice the difference between 116fps and 121fps averages?

No i don't i barely notice between 50 to 60 either. As long the game isn't running 15 to 30 fps it's very very playable.
>>
Fuck the stock market
fuck speculation

Cool down and take some chill pill.
From the looks of you are the top-tier-elite who have nothing to worry except he doesn't want his frames to drop below 60fps at all, not one bit. I can see you point of view.

Homo, hahaha.

Specific conditions of the cpu being nearly maxed out and something trying to load in most likely.

>somehow me buying an i5 3 years ago even before ryzen was announced makes me an Intel shill because I didn't wait 3 years for a cpu I didn't even know existed

The absolute state of /g/ and amd pajeets.

Or something about intels architecture gtav does not like when the cpu is under heavy load.

Not at all mad, more disappointed, but otherwise I hold no emotional attachment to simple text I post on here. You're a tad dim if you think there's any correlation between 'long-winded text' and 'anger'
Considering I only have an R5 1600 & RX 480 4GB, I'm not a "top-tier-elite" like you might assume. FPS drops are fine, so long as they stay in the moderate double-digits.
>Homo, hahaha.
I thought you were replying to me, not yourself. Don't be so brash.

It's on both ends. "Ryzen hurr durr" and Intel shills shit all over it. "Intel hurr durr" and AMD shills shit all over it.
There's no escaping.

AMD is one big meme, because AMD is the incompetent underdog people love supporting the shit company as opposed to just letting the market forces do their thing and kill that pathetic entity off.

Yes, and you spend your time shilling for AMD instead of playing vidya
>>
>>375894158
you think so? If you look at videos of cpu utilization of the 7700k in gta 5 you'll see that it never really reaches 100%. Core utilization hovers around 40-80%. Maybe, though, I don't know.

>going on /v/ because you only play video games
I spend my time on the computer editing photos and videos for friends and work, rendering any animations I get paid to, watching youtube/netflix, and play an occasional game with friends on dual-1080p monitors.
You jump to the assumption I do fuck all, while not knowing what you're talking about.
Not once have I shilled for AMD. What I said about them is literally use-case-oriented, nothing else. If you play games, sure, go for the best single-core performing option for the money. All I've seen you do is anti-AMD shitposting, so how about fuck off and go back to your games so you don't need to stress your brain any further with responding. Cheers bud.

>>375894708
Multiple games have shown worse frame times with ryzen but were consistent while intel sees spikes. Could be something with intels architecture than devs need to work around or it causes problems.

Okay you proved me point and chat later, homo.
>>
>>375895145
My point in the entirety of what I posted was shit spikes. What was shown was a graph of the Intel equivalent having spikes down to single-digits. Not once did I say anything sub-60 wasn't playable.
>homo.
Thanks for reassuring me of your mental illness bud.
