They had slight changes to the battles. One was covered in water with no columns (that you use to defend from that spin attack the guardian does), the only time using the Ice Pillar as an offensive weapon really.

Can we all just appreciate how, outside of the main quests, a shitload of secrets in this game didn't have map marker objectives, instead you have to rely on solving riddles, careful observation, reading dialogue, and scouting terrain. That is something that has been missing from games from a long time, and Nintendo had some balls to bring it back. I REALLY hope that that kind of design becomes a trend in future game development.

Yeah, but the quality of that puzzle/quest varies wildly, sometimes you just get a painfully obvious riddle from an NPC that gives you the location of the shrine, other times you have an entire sidequest followed by a riddle and a puzzle. Sometimes you have a shrine quest that gives you a "proper" shrine at the end instead of a lame blessing as well, it's so inconsistent.
