It was pretty disappointing when that ball you throw and run to the platform was repeated twice. It felt kinda insulting. And those ones where you just walk in and get a treasure and leave.

They had slight changes to the battles. One was covered in water with no columns (that you use to defend from that spin attack the guardian does), the only time using the Ice Pillar as an offensive weapon really.

I got a bit bored after about 80 shrines, plus Ive been around the entire map pretty well, there must be about 20 or so that are pretty hard to find. I just went and beat the game, havent decided if Ill go back to try and find more.

I avoided ever fighting one of those because it wasnt worth the time, only did the one at the end where it locks you in the same room.

Can we all just appreciate how, outside of the main quests, a shitload of secrets in this game didn't have map marker objectives, instead you have to rely on solving riddles, careful observation, reading dialogue, and scouting terrain. That is something that has been missing from games from a long time, and Nintendo had some balls to bring it back. I REALLY hope that that kind of design becomes a trend in future game development.

Yeah, but the quality of that puzzle/quest varies wildly, sometimes you just get a painfully obvious riddle from an NPC that gives you the location of the shrine, other times you have an entire sidequest followed by a riddle and a puzzle. Sometimes you have a shrine quest that gives you a "proper" shrine at the end instead of a lame blessing as well, it's so inconsistent.
