Zodiac Job system is the inferior License board

The license board winds up with every character feeling the exact same with only their quickenings and such to define them as different. Its essentially the sphere grid but without the closed paths that differentiate the characters for 95% of your playtime; its utterly mindless and uninteresting. Worse still, it doesn't even have character specific ultimate equipment like previous FF games that suffered from the "everyone is the fucking same by endgame" issue.

The IZJS is a pretty flawed job system but that's still massively better than what we originally got, and with the new version allowing characters to have a subclass it'll go from passable to pretty good.

Older Final fantasies like 6 and 4 ended up gtting released on PC eventually.

Newer Final Fantasies like XIII, XIII-2, etc are on PC. XII is in this weird place where most of the ones before and after it got to PC first.

Nah, having a second class will make it worse because there's so little variety. Every character will be a combination of physical damage and one of the magic classes, since the only significant difference between physical classes is what weapons they can use. It's just going to lead straight back to the homogenization of the original.

i doubt he had a 100% finished script but there was probably a very clear A-Z of the story along with character bibles for the main party, villain and key supporting cast if the game was in active development before he left.
