Be sure to get pic related once you get to the sequel though. iirc for some reason it's quite shit in 1, but wrecks ass in 2.

There's a crazy glitch you might encounter in the first chapter where there's a doorway you inexplicably can't go through.

The solution is to run fraps and set it to record as you come down the first elevator, pick up the first gun then approach the door.

Flamethrower is utter trash. Don't try to make it good unless you want 1/4 of your ammo + upgrade nodes to be effectively useless. Aside from that I think every other weapon is at least situationally useful.

The rifle's secondary fire is used by pressing secondary fire THEN primary fire. It chews up ammo but hits everything nearby in a 360 degree radius.

I'd reccomend using a controller to play; it's how it was designed and is comfier. Aiming using mouse makes the game too easy. That said, use the mouse when shooting down the asteroids- trust me.

Dead Space 2 is kinda "ehh" and less atmospheric. 3 is kinda bad.

Prepare for some gr8 zero-gravity sections and a fuckawesome fight against a giant tentacle monster.
