This game was fucking cancer, it was designed so you would not have fun.
All attacks send you flying forward, which makes me question why most of the game is over small platforms over death pits.
having to replay the same levels 4 times is awful padding. Its almost up there with sonic advance 2's padding to get amy.
Theres no reason to play as anyone besides the power characters unless you want your stupid meaningless A rank.
Homing attacking into spears is stupid and upgrading the speed characters homing attack isnt even fun if the enemies with meaty health bars have invincibility frames.
Fly characters are also lack luster because they are too slow and too situational. Thunder shooting is pure random, so the flying combat isnt even skill based.
The only characters you should be playing as or putting points into at check points are the punch characters, which I didn't appreciate in a sonic game.
Also this game is such a technical mess. nearly ever mechanic needed more testing. Rail hopping is just suiciding, ring dashing can sometimes fail you and lead to your death,
the formations never get your team through point rings after a jump and trying get all 3 characters into seperate loops in power formation is so tedious.

The combat that they put so much emphasis on goes on for too long because of shitty i-frames, It isn't rewarding or satisfying because its mindless mashing with just power characters, the only sense of speed is through scripted loops or else you are stopped in a room with enemies, shitty padding,and To top it all off almost nothing in this game works properly.

I can't believe how many people in this thread legitimately think that Sonic Heroes is a good game. It's mediocre at best.

Stages that suck ass (Casino Park. Bingo Highway, Bullet Station) and drag on for way too long, controls are slippery, and glitches out the ass. Oh, and you have to play all those boring ass stages four times to finish the game; two of which are essentially brain dead mode and a weird mission based gimmick. At least you only have to do the special stages as one team to get all of the Chaos Emeralds, which is one of the decent parts of the game.

The PS2 argument is the saddest rebuttal I've seen so far in this thread. The GameCube version barely fixed anything aside from the frame rate. So congrats, your garbage runs at 60fps.
