Raven is still basic as fuck but the excitement changes make it more beneficial to play more rushdown than hit and run. End your combos with scratch more than just sweep fireball oki and try to hang onto your momentum. Scratch startup decreasing as excitement increases allows for some neat corner stuff. I got 3 scratches in the corner off one roman cancel, but I'm sure someone found a better way.

Is there a character changelist out there?

I've been trying to practice Jam and I got stuck on this combo
5K > c.S > 5H > 2H > 623K > c.214K > dash > c.S > 2H > 46PP

I could do it until the part where I have to dash in and do c.S. No matter how many times I practice I can't get it to connect right. I'm thinking of trying a different character. Is Baiken this hard to play?

Does anyone else experience somewhat "off" audio with this game?
I don't know how to explain it, but the music seems to kind of overpower everything else. ESPECIALLY voices via characters and the announcer. I honestly can't hear what they are saying half the time, and I've tried adjusting the audio in the settings but it doesn't seem to change anything. Is it just me? I've just dealt with it for a while, but its always bothered me. I can't seem to find ANYTHING about it online though.

Answer is wayyy cooler than I expected him to be. Seems pretty complex though. Not sure I want to dedicated the time to learn him, but we'll see.
Baiken's theme is better though, and design-wise shes the tops.

He looks pretty strong from what little I've seen, and from my understanding the general consensus is that he's probably upper-mid at worst. Good pokes, good oki, and his counter can be used on wakeup and YRC'd on top of that. He's also got mad corner carry with the IAD loops and with his izuna drop carrying dash momentum.

Give that shit to platinum. Have Daisuke Ishiwatari oversee it. It worked for Yoko Taro and NieR. It'd be sick to see it done for GG, and I'm someone who loves GG as a fighter. The trouble would be that you'd probably be sticking to Sol or Ky since they are the flagship characters, and the rest of the cast likely wouldn't be playable.

Do you practice even the basics? Use training mode constantly? I've found even following basic "How to improve" guides for games like Street Fighter still help in GG, since SF is kind of the basis of 2D fighting games, and most others expand off those basics. Obviously theres some exceptions, but still. If you have a cheap ass copy of SF4 or SFV around, trying that may help.

Bedman 6H is just as good (if not better), but has a completely different purpose. It's alright combo filler but it truly shines in locking down the opponent while deja vu summons are starting up, allowing for pressure that almost seems endless at times.

I really wish they didn't put as much landing recovery as they did with Ram's new moves. Like, you can get some more nice looking combos that do barely more damage, but build more meter. Except the fact it's FUCKING HARD to pull that shit off.

Same as you do on a stick. 9->6 as fast as you can. The forward jump counts as the first tap of the airdash so all you need to do is press forward again as soon as you leave the ground and you've got an iad
