Short for creative developers. Most of the time there isn't a point to form a distinction, since a developer is a developer whether they're designing audio, modeling or programming. Because Blizzard is known for having a metric-shit ton of lore that people care about for some reason the branch of the developers for their games that focuses on writing and concept art is significant enough to be given a distinction, at least by blizzard and players of their games. Some of the most notable members that are blammed for the stupid shit blizzard does are or were Cdevs, like Chris Metzen.

I remember Mario Bros being pretty enjoyable. Mortal Kombat had some surprisingly kick ass kung fu battles and was fairly true to the source material. That's about it.
