so the intro cutscene just started to play when i loaded my save. freaked me the fuck out

So I remember my cpu had an issue with fc and sc where I would get frame drops occasionally. I found a fix midway through sc as it was a common problem but I can not for the life remember, and it's happening again in 3rd. Advice?

ED6_DT28 is the SFX file, replacing it with the Japanese file won't do a fucking thing, because they didn't redo the sound effects for the English version.
ED6_DT38 is the English voice file, which she is saying not to replace, and given what we know so far the Japanese voices must be either 37 or 38 in the Japanese game. The download links have given us the wrong file.

The correct way involves renaming it to ED6_DT37, which activates the dual-audio toggle without replacing the English audio track. But for some reason that's currently playing sound effects with the given file instead.
