What did /v/ think of the original darksiders when it came out?

I liked it a lot when it first came out.

Now all I remember from it is that Liam O'Brien has a sexy voice.

I want to like it but christ it's so boring, I can make it through the first couple of hours but then I never turn it back on.

It makes me want to replay Lords of Shadow

It's alright desu. The speedrunning tricks in it are awesome.

I loved it then and I love it now since they gave the Warmastered™ edition out for free for anybody who bought the original.

I prefer this over God of War or Zelda mostly because I'm a sucker for Joe Mad/Warcraft style with the over exaggerated shit.

So im just going to playthrough the first darksiders for the first time, whats the recomended difficulty for this game?

It's incredibly generic and mediocre in every sense. I got the Remastered editions of 1 and 2 on PS4 and kind of want to force myself to finish 1 in order to play the sequel, it looks a little better

Pretty mediocre. Dropped it for years.
Came back to it some months ago. It was alright but still thought it didnt have enough effort put into it to make it something more.
