Ideally, I want a back to basics route. Remove all (yes, all) 3rd party characters and replace them with Nintendo equivalents. Want Sonic? Here's Dillon from Rolling Western, fuck off. Want Cloud? Here's Issac/Felix from Golden Sun, fuck off.

I want Nintendo to give Ganondorf's moveset to Black Shadow (F-Zero) and give Ike's moveset to Ganondorf (tweak as needed). Drop Ike, we have too many FE reps already.

In Sheik and Jiggly's cases it's because their home series have left them behind. In Falco's case he just isn't all that important. In all 3 cases, they are beloved Smash characters, though. So I don't know.

Dark Pit, Lucina, and Doc are up in the air. Sure, cut them, I don't give a fig, but since they don't take a lot of real work it doesn't matter much either way.

Samus lacks versatility, and her options are all weirdly disjointed and weak. She needs a few tweaks to give her a bit more oomph somehow. Buffing missiles and morph ball bombs would be an okay start.

Zelda is a weird case, because on paper she seems like a great, powerful long-range character. A reflect, powerful ranged blast, teleport that damages, sweet-spot on aerials. Her utter lack of viable mobility means anyone who closes the gap has her dead to rights. Maybe slightly increase running speed and change the way Farore's Wind controls. And reduce her endlag.

Ganondorf just needs a thorough reworking. He's powerful, and feels it, but doesn't really feel like Ganondorf. Flesh out the sorcery side of him a bit, and change his elbows and foot stomps into beastly dark magic attacks. Maybe give him a trident throw or other such special too. He's a sitting duck against speedier opponents.

4. Ridley. He probably is 2big too be fair, but fuck it, he's genuinely iconic unlike most of the Smash 4 additions. They were already scrapping at the bottom of the barrel with those additions.
5. I hope the N64 is considered retro enough where Wave Race/1080 sees some representation in either a playable character or a stage. At the very least, an assist where a giant wave and wave racers quickly run over the screen would be rad as fuck.

I think they should port 4 so that it will get more exposure and of course add more characters but they still should make a fifth game sometime in the future.

If we're talking about Konami reps I would honestly have Simon Belmont over Snake since Simon is the only "classic" character not represented yet. We have Mario, Sonic, Megaman and even Pacman. All classic characters representing their own companies so Simon just feels right.

They could call it Rival Mode. They can do something similar to Smash Run where the character goes through the world of they're rival until they finally meet up with them for the final fight.
