-Videos are too long, nobody, and I mean NOBODY will want to sit through the whole 30-40 minutes of your quickplay episodes.
-Consider much more digestible 3-10 minute episodes which are easy for people to consume, and easy for you guys to make.
-Tags are your friend, you don't have to go overboard on them but it really makes a difference.

The safest bet for views it to play very recent and very popular games.
Best example right now is Playerunknown's Batleground.
But to guarantee to make a video that's fun to watch you should play games that you know will have funny or interesting moments happens at a regular pace and that you yourself enjoy playing.
The games that fit these two criteria may not gain traction as fast but it's much better to be consistently good than do something half-heartedly because it's popular.

I think if you were to compare an American to a German or Japanese it would be very clear to see the difference in where their voice rests, there's even a difference between parts of America and America compared to other English speaking countries. 1. I'm a student and I also have to work. I would love to have more time to do this. I'm trying to do 1 a month at the moment but it is hard.

2. 4chan is the only place to have accepted me (kind of). I think people get turned off by the shtick; they see a puppet and go "nah!" No other community will give me the time of day.

It's very hard to get the views and the subs. I'm really grateful for the ones I do have. If I could have 3000 subs by the end of the year I would be soooo happy. As it stands I've got so much on my plate right now, but there will be a new episode next week.

Part series are a good idea. They're a good way to increase the fidelity of your viewers by giving them something to look forward to. And it will give new viewers something to binge, which is a near 100% guarantee of subscription, because they too will want to see what's next.
However I'd advise against making one serie and sticking exclusively to it because if a new viewer doesn't like the game and sees it's the only thing you do they won't stick around.
You should still switch up games often, so try having something like

Don't take my word for it though, look at a lot of the biggest gaming channels.

It's not anything big yet, started with wrestling-themed unboxings and then got a couple game-related videos up, more in the can. Learning editing as I go though, so it's very early, more just a way to pass the time for now. The first couple videos completely sucked, but I'm starting to get a better handle on it, including bits of intro/editing in the unboxings.

Once I get a proper way to hook my laptop up via an HDMI cord to record off the TV, planning on doing some older stuff like Metroid Prime II and WWE Day of Reckoning. For now I'm stuck with emulators, with just a short Wario Land II run as a commentary test. It worked, but future ones will be run through Audacity properly.

It sounds like you have a bad mic. There seems to be a wind-tunnel noise, which is either a sign of bad conditions (doubtful, you probably had a quiet room) or bad grounding (most cheapo mics aren't grounded). Noise removal is meme tactic to remove background noise, since it will always sound worse than if you had a properly quiet room or a properly grounded mic. What kind of mic did you order?

What are you using to record your audio? Adobe Premiere? I'd try Audacity since I can tell you for a fact it 'works.'

If your voice is only slightly deeper it would still sound naturally good, I think.
Maybe try to speak a bit slower and to articulate a bit more.
I'm also hearing static in the background. You can fix that to some degree in post-prod to make your voice sound cleaner.

Thinking of starting a youtube channel where I make videogamedunkey esque videos, except more satirical like his older stuff. Probably gonna focus on old or obscure ps1/ps2 titles that don't get enough attention, be it good or bad. Edits here and there, like sound effects and so on, to mix things up. Keeping the flow is good, but having something to say would help you by leaps and bounds. When we record the podcast, we always dicuss the subject beforehand and arrive to recording with a bunch of notes. If you're out of ammo, go to the notes. It makes a noticeable difference in the quality of your content when there's always something interesting coming out of your mouth.

I uploaded a couple of delisted videos of a closed alpha, but aside from that I've done nothing. I would've done more if the devs hadn't fixed the fun exploit I showed off.

Part of me wants to make a guide/walk-through/berating-of-the-developers video of a roguelike I played recently, focused on clearing the hardest difficulty with the weakest classes. I make short films. I've been thinking about instead of submitting them to competition just putting them on youtube.

To give you an idea of the shit I do:
>focus on fixed angel cinematography
>essentially the entire film takes place with a single fixed camera and only one frame
>this means all actions is done in either this small space or through sound out of frame
>one I did years ago involved a single fixed frame of a bathroom sink and mirror/medicine cabinet
>the film involved a man living alone
>the story was told through his pep talks to himself while shaving and through an answering machine
>chronicled his mental breakdown after the death of his grandfather
>culminated in him committing suicide, the final shot being the bang as he pulls the trigger off screen to kill himself

I have done others for what I think are interesting takes on cinematography. Another I did was low angel, meaning the field of vision only caught people from the knee down. Another where the entire film was a close up on the main character's face. Another that was completely black for the majority of the film to try and make use of restricted lighting.

You have the same issue I used to have, where you use your format to tell stories as opposed to being informative and useful to your audience. You mention that N2DS has no 3D, and maybe some fancy clamshells, but it wouldn't hurt to speculate on some common concerns:
>Battery life
>Extra-large pixels like on the N3DS
>The switch from a slate to a clamshell for the 2DS design

I always wondered if there would be a market for viewers that prefer no voice and game sound only.

No talking, mostly full exploring, hard modes only, listen to every NPC, basically try and get like 80-100% completion for most games.

Probably cut it up into 20 minute vids.

Maybe figure out a way to do League / Overlook if people really wanted it.
