That is certainly the face of DRAKENGARD!

The thing I like about Taro is the way he treats video games. He constantly talks about games, what makes video games unique as a medium, and where games have been/are going. I really get a sense that Taro loves video games as a concept and wants to find games unique place in media.

The mask makes him more of a personality and less of a person. In some ways it makes him larger than life.

For someone in their generation in Japan the road to making it in game writing is tough and guarantee has irreparably broken them.

Consider nip culture:

Now consider what ever single present day game director must have gone through in their 20s and 30s. As a struggling game writer in the then new field, they made pretty much no money, new field plus entertainment means they were thought of as subversive and degenerate which means they had no respect. These two traits while irritating in their 20s, becomes mind breaking in their 30s when everyone they know have been promoted to middle management, are married, and have a steady job, while they are still making 0 money, seemingly getting nowhere, and unable to attract any female despite doing their best for 10+ years.

A normie Nips, gooks, or chinks would've killed himself for much less, but these guys stuck through by turning up the autism. and having already experienced like 20 years of a fate worse than death, I doubt they're afraid of sjws sanctioning them on what they like.

I think it was handled rather tastefully, several aspects throughout the main story clearly hint at it, and having A2 bring it up for a couple sentences is a lot better than an exposition dump in a cutscene.

That being said if one did want more exposition I'm fairly sure one of the documents had details on it.

Examples on things that hint towards it are

>2B being weirdly emotional when 9S dies at the start.
>2B's opening monologue
>9S bringing up how weird it is that they decided to deploy a Battler unit with a Scanner since they were on a simple scanner recon mission.

I can see how after playing the game you can suspect 2B knew more about the dirty secrets of yorha, but figuring out she is a type E is just a lucky guess, most of her actions can be interpreted in other ways
