PIRATES ALWAYS WIN
>>
>Indie shitter still pretend to be the victim of chargebacks

Chargebacks are a fine because your security is shit and you facilitate fraud. Normal people have to comb through their credit card history with their bank to see which charges are fraudulent because YOU accepted stolen money. Stop throwing a tantrum at a completely unrelated marketplace and stop trying to dodge Valve's 30% fee, take responsibility for once in your goddamn life.
>>
>>375815556
This is all spot on. G2A is for people too scummy to buy things, but too stupid to pirate.

I don't play indie games because they're shit.

>all these people thinking there is no reason not to pirate

If your ISP is shit they'll watch, catch, and fine you for pirating the latest games / movies. You also have the potential to be sued if life thinks it'd be hilarious to ruin your day in particular.
>just get a new ISP if the one you have is shit
Sometimes there are no other providers. Some states in the US have piss poor internet services that make a killing because they have a monopoly in that state.

On top of that, you can't play official servers with pirated mainstream game copies.
>just play on the pirate servers if / when available
if these people aren't above stealing, then what makes you think they're above hacking and cheating? On top of that, surely you can't expect the latency / population / server quality to be anything like that of official servers.

I'm sure there's a load of details and other shit i'm forgetting but i'm tired and the point has been made, if poorly.

Have a picture of one of those awesome toys you won from chucky cheese's as a kid and have a fantabulous day.

Well, since this thread is relevant enough, I'll ask here to not have to make a thread for it.

Is G2A like, legit? I don't really care if it's lifted goods, it's like buying a 'fell off a truck' gucci bag on the corner for all I care. I just wanna know if they deliver.

I'm trying to get Ark cheap, and $9 there beats $30 on steam.
>>
>>375819890
It's also not illegal
I don't know if getting slapped with fines or havign your ISP cut your internet connection i still a thing that happens these days if you get caught pirating

>>375819940
You're a fucking retard for even wanting to play ARK. Like, what is even wrong with you? Are you 12 years old or something?
That said, yeah it's legit. It's not a scam, you will get your key for the advertised price
>>
>>375819940
There are sellers on there with over a million keys sold and 99% approval rating. Just pick a good seller and you'll be fine.
>>
>>375819873
>reacting to something disgusting
>haha you must be new lol im deffinitely not autistic!
>>
>>375819940
i have bought 7 things off g2a and removed their safety shield from every payment

i have 7 extra fun games in my library

it seems so fucking sketchy but its more lucrative to the thieves to just sell their shit off and build reputation on their account instead of jewing people on g2a

just dont buy shit from people who have less than 98% customer satisfaction
>>
>>375819940
They have no obligation to deliver. If you are careful 99% of the time you will get a legit key, but if your key does not work and you did not get G2A shield you are SOL. If a dev decides every key bought from the G2A market is no longer legal and they remove your game from your steam library you are also SOL.
>>
>>375820239
>If a dev decides every key bought from the G2A market is no longer legal
They couldn't possibly have any way of knowing which keys those are, though
>>
>>375820338
They can. Devolver Digital removed every purchase of their games from people's libraries who bought from G2A.
>>
>>375820493
Not only does that mean they put the keys up on G2A themselves, it's also illegal as fuck
>>
>>375819686
>if these people aren't above stealing, then what makes you think they're above hacking and cheating?

... because it's not fun? And I'm not thirteen...?
>>
>>375820493
They said they were going to, but ended up not doing it. Trying to shut down second hand sales is a great way to get the EU to stuff its big fat bureaucratic dick up your ass.
>>
>>375819940
Never had any problems, bought a couple of games, no scam, no keys disabled by the devs or whatever. It's fear mongering.
>>
>>375815556
Huh, that's pretty neat OP, but I still just don't care.
>>
>>375820608
>Not only does that mean they put the keys up on G2A themselves
They didn't. That was a case of keys being revoked because of fraud.
>it's also illegal as fuck
You have no protection buying anything from G2A unless you pay for something that is a consumer right to begin with.

Most of the keys for games people actually care about and buy in large volumes come from game boxes bought in low cost countries. Nobody cares about indie devs. If this is a huge problem just stop selling loose keys in bulk.

But mister rebbitposter, jim can do this at any number of businesses.

Most purchases in the world are assumed to be legitimate. If anything it's the original CC owner's fault for letting his info get stolen and not reporting it promptly.

g2a isn't some kind of crime fighter.

Any business can get fucked over by this kind of malicious purchase.

They're "authorised resellers". In normal people language that's called a retailer or webstore.
>>
>>375815556
I like how these reverse shill threads get posted every day, but nobody's ever posted any actual proof of these claims.

What is your agenda, OP?
>>
>>375816824
Nah, Valve takes 30% of everything. The 60% thing was from the paid mods fiasco because Bethesda wanted to take another 30%.
>>
>>375824521
There are basically two types of key stores.

One is authorized resellers, which includes Gamersgate, Green Man Gaming, etc. They're essentially the same thing as buying a game at GameStop and registering it with Steam (except without the physical component obviously).

The other is unauthorized resellers, which is basically everyone else. The most famous examples are G2A and Kinguin, but there are a lot more of them. They're just as legal as the authorized stores, but they don't get their keys directly from the publisher or Valve so they don't have the official stamp of approval. As a result they don't have to play by the normal rules so they can often offer games cheaper than authorized stores. Valve has a lot of rules about how and when you can sell games, including region restrictions and what kind of sales you can have for them. Unauthorized resellers simply ignore these rules (for example, by buying international keys in cheap regions and then reselling them for $ prices), but even authorized sellers try to dodge those rules by offering coupons or "VIP" discounts when they're not allowed to have actual sales, especially GMG does this a lot.
>>
>>375821776

Good luck finding a lawyer to win that case
>>
Until games get deactivated because of G2A charbacks people will keep buying off them.

Sure it punishes people who bought off G2A, but you have no excuse for innocence at this point.
>>

> not just racking up over 40 thousand unsorted and unnamed image files, most of which are doubles or triples of the same file

>>
>>375815556
If you're anti G2A, you're anti-consumer, it's as simple as that. Reselling bought shit is a basic consumer right and G2A is only a platform for people to exercise this right. If you prioritize developer/publisher rights over those of the consumer you need to get the fuck out of here, you corporate cocksucking shitstain.
