This is the backwards mindset that plagues SMTfags to set them back to stone ages. To use the same aesthetics and design principles when designing new monsters are good, but to flat out reuse it is pure shit and lazy, and to be honest, after so much years, SMT super reliance at 25 yo designs just give it more bad rep than iconic status.

The only design that can get a free pass is Jack Bros, Pixie, and maybe Cerberus (All were REAL icons at this point) The rest of the demons already got a place in SMT and using them again and again are just bad and shows how Atlus refuse to evolve to the new market and rather stays being a cult series that barely makes any profit.

Only thing I'm not sure about is most of promo art having very realistic looking armor. It would be great if they did more of classic JRPG design, with armor not being realistic, but still good looking and characteristic.
While SNES-era Final Fantasy, Tales and Dragon Quest all had different style of character design, they all some shared concepts in character armour.

Realistic armor feels like better fit for ARPGs like Dragon's Dogma and Souls games.

Look at Maken X. Its a different game altogether but it had the same eerie and inhuman designs for its enemies as with its contemporary SMT. Thats what I hope Atlus do with this instead of borrowing the same thing over and over again.
