The story is extremely generic. The pacing is terrible. Characters outside of the bro group get a full 5 seconds of exposition and are generally worthless. They try to constantly make you feel something for Lunafreya even though she has no personality to back it up, nor had any significant involvement shown. A shit ton of the plot is just obfuscated or told in far too short of a manner. This is the first new age Final Fantasy that I thought needed MORE cutscenes. The antagonists have nothing going for them and very little exposition. The game is extremely short for a final fantasy if you don't want to do all the shitty fetch quests. Large chunks were totally removed from the game, and what was left is barebones as is. It's seriously just not a finished game. There is tons more I could go into but I will stop sperging now.

It's a shame because I really enjoyed the combat, the bro crew was a good idea and they are all decent to great characters. And the soundtrack is absolutely amazing.

Yes I understand about the interactions of him and his bros, but when it comes to the plot part, it's like, you are already expected to know everything. Which brings me to the main problem of XV. You were just dumped in the middle of nowhere, and all you got was, "meet Lunafreya". That's it. The how and why were not in the game. It was in the movie. Which actually pisses me off.

I wanted to play a game where everything that I need to know is in the game. The movie should just have been a supplement but nothing that should really say, "you really got to watch the movie first before playing because you'll just be confused". I hated that part of it.

Everything was obviously rushed.

Luna had little to no character development. They put the important parts of nothing stuff about her in the late half of the story. Why put it there? She's helping me a lot. Why? I want to know why and all I got vague stuff.

Another. the boss battles suck. Actually there are only like 3 damn boss battles here. Aranea, Ravus Retard Form, and Ardyn (which is already pushing it because he's pretty damn easy). Leviathan is an even battle so no.

Another. Creatures are all the damn same. You'd think they are going to be varied, but no. Even the level 120 boss isn't a special type of monster. What the fuck.

Spells. I was hoping to see different types of them when you make them stronger. But again, no.

I also hated the leveling system. Holy shit it sucks ass. You could just steamroll the story no problem.

I also didn't like the way the character interactions are. Yes I know they talk a lot, and you can get tidbits on their personalities here and there. But I wanted something like a "skit style" if you guys get what I mean. I feel like when they are just talking when going to one place to another, that talk has no feeling or something, because it also gets easily interrupted when an enemy suddenly shows up.

The Battle AI fuck ass retarded as shit.

I spend most of the time healing my fucking retarded teammates instead of slashing the enemy. This is the first FF game where I fucking have to heal my teammate like 3-5 times in a row because they just get hit.

The camera also keeps on fighting against me. I don't know why.

Summons suck. Too random.

Ring of Lucii sucks.

Aranea should have been a legit party member. She had the best looking moves out of all the characters.

If there's one thing to take away from this. I'm just happy it's done and finally can move on to XVI.

Well a week after FFXV's release the ebgames near me had a wall of used copies and they still don't have any used Persona 5 so I guess it's the better game.

I liked P5, though mostly for the life sim stuff. After a while the battles start being repetitive and the Palaces too fucking long, especially shit like Okumura's gimmicky spaceship and the fucking Ruse Cruise.

You hang out with almost 20 characters in the daily life parts and there are no romance "mechanics", you just get asked to flip a switch at event 9 (out of 10) for a selection of the characters to decide if you want to be dating them, which does virtually nothing and has no impact on the story at all, even if it's somebody in your party. 99% of players won't even see any of the optional, similarly mechanically worthless post-quest date scenes because they're too busy doing the things that actually have benefits.

Persona 5 is amazing, and far better game in general. Its coming from big pre-release FFXV fanboy.

Persona 5 took the previous games and made it better.

Meanwhile, FF15 (and the series in general) switches things around so much that there's no baseline or benchmark to reference or improve, leading to a mediocre game.
