I thought they would definitely do something to celebrate the FINAL FANTASY 30th Anniversary earlier this year but they let it slide... I would say they are over due for some more info about prices, release date, chapter size etc maybe a nice ps4 spec edition

It was one of the most anticipate reveals at e3 and they know it whips the crowd something fierce so it would say its almost certain it'll appear

Nomura is probably too busy on KH3 to really focus on the remake. (Not like SE spreads him thin already)

We might get a more comprehensive KH3 trailer this year than VII Remake one.

I get the feeling we will probably get another trailer and probably some gameplay or a stage demo.

I would be surprised if we get the first episode this year, depending on how big they are planning them to be (Whether it be split into 3 parts like the discs in the original or FFIV: The After Years sized chunks). If smaller we might see something this year. If bigger, then probably mid to late 2018.

It will probably be more polished and better then FFXV, but I get the feeling they are going to cut out some shit that people liked and the changes will be controversial.

This game is going to disappoint. I'm anticipating them cutting out a ton of things from the original game that really made it what it was.

If the combat system is good (and that's a BIG fucking IF) then it might be worth playing on that merit alone. But I'm definitely not expecting it to be anything more than shit but I don't care because the original FF7 that I know and love will always exist.

Not the same anon, but now that I think about it:
-Using Unreal engine instead of working with their slapped together in-house engine
-The original laid down the ground work, so they already have a blueprint
-Since it's episodic; they wont rush to release an unfinished game like FFXV
-It's Nomura's baby after KH3 and he has a higher attachment to the project than say the guy who directed FFXV who had a more workman's approach

Will likely be better, since the first episode is Midgar and its a linear experience anyways. Even the new content will likely not interfere with the pacing of this part.

Overall, its probably going to be better than XV just because of the map and content. If they cut content then that is a whole other story, but even if they do old school world maps it will still be better than XV
