They handled the character well. Great performance technically. Great shooting, added modes that give incentive to master the levels. Good writing for the material. Good music. I think I played 3 more than I did one or two with all the new york minute modes.

i feel like limiting how many weapons you can have was a good thing for the series, but no one ever brings it up. i liked it in max payne also. in v, and red dead, you can carry every weapon from every catergory all at once. i dont care for excessive realism, but that felt so stupid. is even more of a weird choice when you consider how they all feel the same. i miss the days of having to choose between an rpg or minigun. i only ever use the heavy machine gun on foot and ap pistol in cars. i also hate how theres no weapon wheel when driving, meaning you have to keep taping the button over and over.

Rdr and max payne 3 at least focused on headshots and that was a major part of combat. you could win a 1 v 10 in both games if you knew how to get headshots and use shit like rolling to your avantage.

gta threw all that out the window. they really made it x100 worse by adding bulletproof helmets. casual centralcant wait for rdr2 for fun multiplayer again.

As I said I played 1 and 2 when they were new. And rockstar delivered with 3. They brought back an older series and mixed the older appeal to more modern adaptations and it turned out great.

I feel bad for a corporate dev here because no matter how good of a job you do some talentless nobody will always shit on it to feel special.
