Malroth and Ragnar and I think the DQ2 costumes.
I wouldn't lose your head over it though, they're both fine additions but Ragnar is unlocked late game and Malroth is hard as fuck online since no one knows how to jump for some reason.

Curiosity got the better of me, I know now what assets they used from each version, and Koei implied that it was a quick port job, the sad thing is they released a patch that only slightly improved the framerate in the first region.
I'm glad the framerate doesn't shit itself in the one on one battles for the most part.

This is my issue with the game too. Want to play the whole thing with a friend? Well apparently it requires someone to clear the game already, then the person who hasn't gets "help" from them. Also doesn't cover the entirety of the game apparently.

You unlock some stuff for DQH2 if you have DQH1 save data.

Been playing DQH2 on PC. Average port but game itself is pretty fun. But going the RPG route with levels and stats makes killing larger enemies feel like a chore compared to regular musou games. At least mowing down mooks is still pretty easy.

I love playing as carver online. There's nothing like getting called to help a lower level and just clearing swarms with a single punch. Pretty fun game, could do without the defense missions however.

It's exactly that. It's not terrible but if you didn't like the dynwar aspects you might not enjoy dqh2. I put about 55 hours in as of now myself tho.

Been slowly playing it because of work. Only about 4 hours in but it's loads better than the first one so far.

Maribel is probably my most used character once I found out you can power up her spells by using them right as her boomerangs return to her. Desdemona is fun too.

It's worse if you are trying to play with friends if you ask me. The mp system is garbage since it's got no proper lobby system. At least if you want to play with randoms you just set yourself to searching to help and then continue to fuck about in your world till you get a call for help. To play with friends you have to have a number agreed to then search for that number and I'm pretty sure it still disbands the party after every mission.

Maribel is actualy one of worst damage dealers in my experience compared to people like carver, terry, and even cesar. If you are enjoying it great! But there are better members if you are going for max efficiency.

The second most unfun part of the game. The most was that fucking dhuran fight during the boss rush. How did they make him harder than the final boss.

Here's an interesting change in the switch version, in the scene where you have to escape the castle after the monsters become invincible Ragnar shows up and will actually defeat some of the monsters.
The game doesn't mention it at all but you can see him fighting as you escape.
