Stopped reading after that. Dagda wanted to help humanity just as much as Krishna did, but guess what, they're solution doesn't solve shit really and the only big change is that people die. Dagda's choice just replaces one Tyrannical ruler (YHVH) with another (Nanashi). The path is made with good intentions but it's still a bad choice. Stephen even tells the protag that he'll have to lead other protagonists to this universe to deal with him. You know, like how he leads Nanashi into YHVH's world to kill him if you choose the other route? Nanashi literally becomes YHVH's replacement and genocides anyone who doesn't agree with him, which he did. Like YHVH, HE chooses what's right because HE has the power to force it on others, regardless of what the masses want. I don't know how much more I can emphasis the fact that Nanashi becomes an alternate YHVH in this route and the game blatantly beats you over the head with this fact.

Again, you're missing the whole point. Nanashi is just another self-righteous replacement for YHVH. It's the whole reason why Stephen flat out tells you you're going to have to fight other messiahs who he'll transport into your universe to stop you. There is nothing about their true potential being unlocked. All they did was mass genocide humanity and have Nanashi create a new one, with dagda claiming he solved the problem. You also seem to miss the whole thing the entire game, especially the DLC, was trying to beat the player over the head with. No route the right choice, and not because of some morally grey BS. Neutral: Only temporary peace. You cannot change ALL of humanity and so long as some people suffer at any point in the world, they will always wish for someone to solve their problems. The bad people will always create demons, etc.

A humanity that will not yearn for their existence and ultimately stop their creation for good. Nanashi becoming YHVH does not solve this problem.

It's not head canon. The game indirectly explains some of this in the Stephen DLC, as well as putting two and two together. For example, the white erase everything in the universe but YHVH lives in his own protected universe, outside of the protagonists. We're only able to even get there Stephen, someone who is known to travel to other universes was able to help us get there. As for the krishna and Dagda thing, didn't I literally just point out an instance in the game where Dagda is surprised that human observation is what is needed to kill YHVH mid fight? YHVH is the original avatar of the Axiom, and therefore one of the very first beings in existence. The only people who know of the Axiom is YHVH (who remains intentionally ignorant of it) and Stephen, as well as a few others who have actually ascended past materiel form and can travel through other timelines at will. The game's explain this, the DLC flat out tells you this, and the entire series indirectly explains this in conversations that reference these characters or their existence. The closest thing to the Axiom Dagda knew about is that somehow people believing in YHVH is what continued to recreate him, and therefore he had to genocide their entire race in hopes of creating a new one with no knowledge of him. The issue here though is that it just makes Nanashi the new YHVH to bend humanity to his will if he so chooses.

It's fitting. Phones are so pervasive in modern society that if you were gonna make something that let you summon demons, you'd make it iOS and Android compatible.

I mean, shit, in SMT1 there's the expectation that barely anyone outside of nerds had laptops so even with Stephen sending the program out to everyone, so few people would have a practical way of using it. Imagine the poor fuckers with a desktop computer, or at the library using a book database computer to try handle demons. SMT1 Hero is part of a tiny venn diagram of "knows how to use computers", "downloads suspicious shit" and "has a reasonably portable computer".

Devil Survivor's setting is "Tokyo on lockdown" like the start of SMT1, it might as well be "what if these games took place in the digital age".

Yes, because it's back to formula of the SMT roots and P1-2 roots, even though it has P3/4 stuff, they're improved from the previous titles.. It's a very well polished game they made.
