LFT patch is ok. It's one that just does rebalancing rather than complete RNG autism overhauling like hacktics 1.3. Vanilla PS1 for a first time playthrough is still okay since you haven't seen what all is broken and OP. Enjoy getting buttfucked in Dorter Trade City newbie. And save before Wiegraf

Oh man, speaking of that, IIRC one of the patches adds minimum level 1 lighting to all floors of Deep Dungeon. Might be LFT. That was one of the things I hated about vanilla DD. Pretty cool looking tileset map that you don't get to see until a body crystal pops (and stays there)
