How would a mythological accurate AoM be like?
>>375751480
like a AoM with mythological accuracy
>>375751547
Thanks for your post.
>implying AoM isn't mythologically accurate
>>375751992
b-but muh nitpicking
>>375751992
Egyptian mythology doen't look like The Mummy Returns. Also donut steel atlanteans.
>>375751480
A lot more rape.
Probably a less fun RTS, going for true mythological accuracy doesn't necessarily translate well into a better game.
If anything, what mythology is there inspired my 12 year old self to read a shitload of ancient literature.
shape shifting reptilians lizards from the forth dimension playing tricks on people in this one
>>375752471
Playing as Zeus would be really fun then.
>>375751480
Kevin Sorbo is now the MC
>>375753008
hades*
>AoE2 got an ok remaster that actually continues to get some support
>AoM got the questionable remaster with the bad expansion
It's not fair
>>375754007
You know Hades is just a reject in mythology right?
He's the guy who has to play janitor while the others fuck with human affairs.
>>375754172
Is the expansion really that bad?
I guess Arkantos and the atlantean's plot were made up, being able to hire mythical units is a gameplay mechanic and myths from different cultures don't actually cross-over
Otherwise it was researched, you can even right-click on the myth units and there is info on them.
>>375754431
>myths from different cultures don't actually cross-over
That's not really true, some clearly did, like the greek sphinx.
>>375754362
It's lazy
The chinese titan is just a reskinned norse titan
>>375751480
Dominions 4 but in real time
>tfw no sumerian civilization that worship gods having orgies in the streets
>>375754210
He will even let you borrow his dog if you have a good enough reason. Try getting Zeus to let you borrow one of this lighting.
>>375755536
Or asking Zeus to give you back your fire.
>>375755917
Technically speaking, the fire was from the gods; Prometheus did steal that from Olympus.
>>375756150
But it was given to the humans before, right? Zeus stole it after being trolled by Prometheus.
>>375756525
No, that's not how it went. Meat was given to the humans after Prometheus tricked Zeus into decreeing that meat would go to the humans and that the bones of the animals would go to the gods. When he realized he'd been played, Zeus retrieved the fire from humans. He didn'r really steal it, he just took away from them a gift that the gods had given them. That's like an electric company cutting off your power when you fail to pay the bills; they aren't technically stealing from you.
>>375754431
>you can even right-click on the myth units and there is info on them
Some of that text is bullshit.
>>375756806
It's not really the same, the gods gave the fire once but the electric company gives you electricity everyday. The electric company just stop giving you more.
>>375756845
Now you're going to tell me that a Canadian bear with monkey sidekicks who runs faster than any vehicle and shoots lasers out of its eyes isn't faithful to mythology.
>>375757019
The basis here is that it is a service provided by someone else. Gods demand respect, the electric company demands money. The moment the payment is interrupted you have that taken away from you.
>>375757057
Scientific name -- Ursus magnificus cotnami
Size -- 1400 lbs. Utility belt adds an additional 40 lbs. Monkeys are about 12 lbs. each.
Diet -- mostly in the liquid form
From the dark reaches of Canada comes a superhero dedicated to truth, justice and liquid refreshment. Lazar bear is armed with his deadly lazar (TM) vision and a teleportation belt. He also packs a nasty punch. He is never far from his hordes of wicked monkeys. Lazar Bear has been known to occasionally make demands of the world goverments under threat of painful retribution, but most of the time he's a pretty good guy.
Rumors that his upgrade changes his art to a United States cape are groundless...at least until the Xpack.

>Mythology
>accurate
What is the realest fiction?
>>375758034
I mean according to the sources, not reality.
O CANADA O CANADA O CANADA O CANADA O CANADA O CANADA O CANADA O CANADA
>>375751480
Not that great. Mythologies tend to not be that exciting.
Have you actually read some of the stories? Usually very short and boring.
>>375758998
Fuck you, the war between the gods and the giants was awesome. Same with Tiffoon, and Perseus and Heracles are amazing too.
>>375758998
>Mythologies tend to not be that exciting.
Thats just before you get over the writing style. Ancient people played for keeps, stories are crazy. One of the reasons the Silmarilion is so great is because it's just like an original mythology, all of it is awesome because its stories of gods that were real to people at the time its insane
