GOTY 2018 i'm hyped as fuck! 1 was kinda meh gameplaywise but story was good.
In 2 they really nailed the atmosphere, platforming sections and combat were fun,quite simple loot system (even tho i never fully catched on the upgrade mechanics as they were just for min-maxing weapon stats) was a good choice to implement. Soundtrack was solid - helped with building up atmosphere of locations, fights and puzzles. Boss fights were great especially Guardian boss and this dragon on the bridge. They said there will be backtracing which is fucking awesome considering their level design skills with many- not tedious to get to-new places to discover with new abilities acquired along journey.
D2 was one of my favourite games to which i went back like 3 times. D2>D1. If there will be plot like D1 and D2 music, mechanics, level/ loot/leveling design D3 will be easily somewhere in my top 10 games! Fuck i'm hyped! And they managed to use christian mythology in developing so fun to explore story i've never seen before in any media desu!

it has all the dlc and some engine improvements for PC, its a good price.

I owned the original bought this just to support the dev. THe engine guy was active on steam forums talking about the specific tweaks and enhancements, I dont think it was a whole new engine but im not 100% there. Price wasnt bad so it was worth it to me at least.

Darksiders 2's combat was sooo close to cuhrayzee! Just needed a few more ways to attack, and they should have let you use all three weapon with instant switching. I loved the two skill trees. DS1 is a classic Zelda clone with amazing art direction and a pretty good story that will leave you hanging.

DS2 has a very different but honestly improved combat system, but feels kind of unfinished. You can tell they rushed it a bit. First two worlds are expansive and amazing, last two... well its better to divide the game into thirds and think of the last two as one big world.

They made it parallel, make a whole lot of sense, and make it pretty vital what Death does as far as the story goes

Maybe 3 has a story as to why it's vital to get the 7 deadly sins. Maybe something about the humans, or something about Death, or even a single point in any of the previous 2 games that couldn't have happened had Fury not gotten the 7 deadly sins first.

Exactly how I felt about DS2, I remember how fucking lame it was trying to do a quest that I was a little bit underleveled for, so I couldn't deal shit for damage or take any hits because they hurt so much, so then I went off to go gain a few levels and then went back to the side quest boss and just shit on it with the better numbers I had; it wasn't like that AT ALL in the original game and I liked it that way.

Hopefully they make the 3rd game more like the original.

I remember seeing an interview where they said that they were going to have triple the amount of dungeons or something and my first thought was that all of them are going to be forgettable and generic and not have as much effort put into them as the ones in 1. There were a bunch of other problems I had too.
