The problem is the category they're in makes them hard to place. In the rulebook Felinids are listed as "abhumans" and are distinctly separate from the mutant beastmen, as abhumans are a category of mutants that are considered useful or non-harmful to humanity as a whole (like ratlings and ogryns).

Beastmen are typically bestial and ugly- they're furries but only in the way you'd call a typical gothic horror werewolf a furry, ie they technically fit the category but without the aesthetic pleasantries usually associated.

So the fact that Felinids are apparently distinctly seperate AND in the not-so-bad category of human mutants means they're probably more human than not, which has a lot of people leaning catgirls, but on the other hand that's so out of the setting's usual aesthetic that furries are almost more believable. Personally, more believable than EITHER of those is that they're just particularly hairy humans, but I'm an unrepentant weeb so I like to imagine they're catgirls anyway.

In theory yes but I haven't seen one yet. He'll I've seen very few examples of female imperial guards online. Victoria Miniatures makes female Imperial Guard kits but they're not cheap, and if you buy the full kit midst of the heads have helmets which wouldn't be so great for sculpting on cat ears. You stood need additional non hampered hats if you wanted them to look good.

From there, it would be a matter of filing away the human ears, sculpting on cat ears and tails with greenstuff, and painting them up to look suitably feline. From there I would refer to makeup tutorials online for inspiration. You could go anywhere from 10% to 50% without having to re-sculpt any facial details.

The Imperium aren't"the good guys" despite what gets shown in the games most of the time, because the Imperium is just a massive meat grinder. Conditions are shit for the average citizen, with nearly every world being overcrowded, polluted, starving, a death world, a backwater, or some combination of the above. The Emperor never wanted to be worshipped as a god, and arguably his worship has held the Imperium back. Chaos is an inherent part of humanity and complete denial of it is holding humanity back. There's no good reason to be so xenophobic, and conditions could vastly improve across the galaxy if the imperium as a whole at least worked out non-aggression and technology trade agreements with the Tau and Eldar.

The other pill: The Imperium, despite it's flaws, IS for the most part good, and most evils committed are neccesary ones. Whether or not the emperor wished it, faith in his protection IS an extremely powerful defense against the corrupting power of chaos- and while chaos IS inherent to humanity, complete acceptance of it would tear us apart and make us less than human- mere beasts and pawns rather than the arbiters of our own fate. If the Imperium has a cripping flaw, it's that it's simply too large, to cumbersome. Too many planets, too slow travel between them- it's impossible to enforce good practices across the entirety of it. Overpopulation is a massive issue, and without the massive number of conquests, wars, and settlement efforts resulting from those, there simply wouldn't be enough outlets for sheer population. Many planets would reach a critical overpopulation and suffer dieoffs MUCH more massive in total than the men lost every day in battles. Quite simply, while the constant state of war is a tragedy, without fighting war and settling new planets constantly, the tragedy of peace would actually be worse

It's not, but the only country where "wyvern" means "dragon with two legs" is Scotland. Throughout Europe a two-legged dragon is just called a dragon. A wyvern in the common vernacular refers to a specific creature with a venomous tail stinger.

Here's the easy way to understand it:

It's from a XVI century painting by italian artist Giorgio Vasari.

It's a fucking chicken with scales and a funny face.
This means that depictions of dragons are all subjective to the will of the artist and shouldn't follow any strict rule as long as it flies, has a fire/venomous breath and is reptilian in appearance.

This one is Fafnir, the venomous dragon from Siegfrid and the Twilight of the Gods, this illustraction in particular is by the famous (and very gifted) Arthur Rackham, a British painter from the Victorian era that was known for painting scenes from many famous European fables and tales.
Notice that it looks like a Salamander or a serpent with arms and legs?

That's because in Norse folklore, which would then form the basis of modern fantasy, dragons were seen as giant snakes or even called "worms", later turning into the modern depiction of them.
