Before the PS4 PRO's additional power would only work for the games that were patched/optimized for it

With recent update they made it so that it also applies to unpatched games.
It won't make the games go above the caps but whereas the game ran unstable framerate previously, it will most likely run better with it enabled (Yakuza 0 holds perfect 60fps in crowded areas with boost mode whereas originally it went down to low 50s or so, and it's not patched).

Bought a used PS4 for 150€ and so far, Bloodborne, P5 and Yakuza 0 have been worth every penny. In fact, now that I played BB, its definitely is a system seller. If I had tried it somewhere before, I probably would've bought a new console right away.

Plus, DQXI and Kiwami coming up and I still got FFXV, DQ Builders, HZD and the Uncharted games(which I haven't played since 2 at a friend's place.) in the pipeline.
I haven't touched my PC since I got this thing, and I don't see myself playing anything on it in the foreseeable future. I bought Nier and 100% it, and that will most likely be the last game I buy on PC in some time.

Not planning to buy a Pro anytime soon though. Not interested in 4k at this point, and the performance is fine. I feel like 90% of performance banter was just memes. I mean, I'm directly coming from PC and BB is fine. Its not 60+ sure, but after 5 minutes, I stopped noticing the frames.
Had to open it up to clean it though, since it was loud as fuck when I got it. Now its "relatively" quiet.
So yeah, its definitely worth it for me.

For example, the difference in Last Guardian's case is like night and day between OG and PRO. Final Fantasy XV gives lots of options on the PRO which makes it a better version.

With the cost of hardware, and current amazon prices, I come at $70/game, with the shitty hardware of the slim. And I don't even care for half of the games, so my actual per game price would be way higher.

Even with how I overspent for my PC, I still paid less per game I bought, and I'm getting better results (resolution, framerate, detail level) in games where it matters, plus faster loading times and free online in general.

P5 was on PS and BB is far from flawless because of its shitty balance and its 4 moves bosses, it's not as good as Dark Souls 3 for me. I've played Crash Bandicoot years ago, and Ratchet 1 remake was not as good as the original. Last Guardian was far from memorable and is more enjoyable on youtube than with a pad because of damn controller/gameplay issues. Also, the ending was shit.

Remain HZD , Nioh and Yakuza, but I'm not sure it makes the PS4 worth owning.

I have played over 15 SMT games as of now and I can say for sure that IV is the very worst one by a fucking mile. You really aren't missing anything except for a god tier OST. Apocalypse is hot garbage as well because even though the combat is better, they casualized it to hell and beyond by giving you OP as fuck companions (seriously, free Media every turn by level 20 or so? Might as well introduce a button to skip the battle altogether). It also has the worst characters I have ever seen in any of these games because they introduced low effort waifu bait garbage. Toki is the most disgraceful character ever and I only played it until I got to kill everyone and quit for good. I got rxtools as soon as it released and my 3ds is now collecting dust. Demon's Souls was fucking amazing, you should have played it when it first came out. It was by far the most refreshing experience of the entire last gen for me and you really fucked up by not playing it when it had tons of people online. That was an experience you will not be able to recoup. It was fantastic and it's forever gone.
