Eh I know everyone seems to be shitting on the game, but outside of the sometimes awkward and more open level nature of some the locations, I feel like the game was decently fun. The RE4 village, whole lake scene, the raining blood area before the mines, the mines. All good shit to me. There are way too many fucking jump scares though and they really need to give you an option to, at the very least, defend yourself when you get grabbed. Something like a one time use shiv.

There's probably gonna be DLC that is going to resolve all the shitty loose ends the game currently has. At least I fucking hope so.

All the 'boss' characters (marta, fatass & cancerboy, val) had such shitty and unsatisfying deaths in comparison to outlast 1.

For example: In outlast 1 you had trager who you actually killed by elevator. It was a great scene and pretty memorable. So how does marta die in outlast 2? She gets fucking impaled by a sudden cross falling out of the sky near the end of the game, after a very shitty chase sequence that takes about five seconds. Yeah, I wish I were kidding.

The biggest problem is that they basically did the best they could already with outlast 1(/whistleblower), and they had fuck-all left in terms of shock value or originality, cause everything had been done in outlast 1 already.

I did like the story for the beginning half.

Afterward it was just.. Woah. It made no sense and went downhill, even reading notes and such.

Graphically, amazing. Atmosphere, amazing.

Martha was annoying in that scene where you have to push that wagon and some of the chase scenes were too trial and error, like when you're escaping form church. First game had a much better "flow" to it, so to say.
Overall, I thought it was good, though it definitely outlasted its welcome. First Outlast ended right when I thought it was kind of too much.

Also, about the ending. I turned on the camera microphone and the only thing I heard was fire. Does that mean that last scene was a hallucination and MC died in a burning church or something? I haven't replayed it for all the letters, heard they explain more things.

It's trial and error chickenshit with broken stealth, you can cheese the game by running which despawns the enemies (so long as you guess the correct direction to run in)

It's not as "original" as the first game. Everything done in the game has been done before elsewhere.

It's a cheap way to make players feel uncomfortable. A few scenes got to me in the first game, like walking in on the guy fucking a corpse, or almost losing your dick in the DLC.
