Too abusable and messy. The vanity slots can basically function like extra inventory spaces for accessories/armour and what it makes your character look like misrepresents your current gear. Basically, what you see should be what you get. Dyes look like shit a lot of the time, the only exception are the special ones you get from trading plants.

im playing starbound with Frackin Universe, along with 2 of my friends.

played about 100 hours killed everything and just have no reason to go back

Expert mode is great for multiplayer tho. Makes bosses scale at least somewhat so it's a lot more challenging. Also everyone gets their own loot so you don't have to kill every boss 20 times just so everyone can get what they need.

Remove vanity slots, they're basically slot-switching and misleading in comp PvP. Also buff summoners and melee, nerf ranged.

I love the game to death, but I've played the ever-loving shit out of it. I've done everything I can, I just can't really imagine having fun playing it anymore.

Plus, mods are almost universally garbage and just feel either too OP or out of place. Even that one update that added all that shit from that other game felt really offputting and, again, out of place; I'm sure that was the point, but I digress.

I really look forward to Otherworld; even if it doesn't end up being as good as the original, it'll be great to get a new, but similar, experience.

Positive thing, especially when you decorate houses. However, I don't like the thing with cobalt/adamantite/titanium: you don't need to defeat anybody or unlock anything, you just need to collect alot of ore to be able to mine next grade of ore - seems too grindy for me.

Not really a mistake, but high tier weapons like that should not exist. I would make broadswords and wide weapons harder to get in the beginning.

It serves its goal perfectly. If you have more money than you know what to do with, you take your favourite weapon and reforge until it has the best modifier.

Bows are more of support weapons, however there are few very powerful rare bows. Spear can attack in all directions, maybe you did something wrong. It's area of attack is narrow, though, maybe, that's what you mean.

The game is about exploration, trying different things and getting knowledge about the world. NPC guide is very helpful.
