I played the demo and its actually really good. It has a very unique loot system where you collect scrap parts to recycle them into materials, that you then use on a fabricator to create what you want, like ammo for example. But you need to find the plans for what you want to make.
It's an open ended game, like dishonored. I think there is a main hub on the space station that takes you to different areas.

There are so many games that use "scrap" as a currency-material hybrid. To me it sounds like you could change the word "scrap" for the word "credits" or "money". You gather currency in the world, so you can then exchange it for otherwise useable things and items.

Destructible environments and furniture is hardly unique either. A lot of games do that, modern ones more than older ones because of the stronger hardware, and several games reward destruction of environmental objects with small loot items. No big deal here. It only seems to be getting a stronger emphasis by having a limited option, like those grenades you talk about, to do that.

Have you ever played Zelda? You could chop down weeds and bushes and shit and get rupees. With those rupees you could buy your ammo.

idk how preys system works you may be able to tell scrapping a chair gives you the certain mats you need to create the ammo for the gun you want but its scrapped in the environment, as well as having conventional items you pick up in your inventory.
Again though, it is the scrapping for ammo which is the uniqueness of this system. the environment can be turned into ammo if you want it to.

honestly, a lot of things seemed so half-assed. Gameplay was much less interesting than I was expecting. Maybe I expected too much. story didn't hold me at all either. It all just felt so shallow. Like there was nothing there. Just a couple hours of shooting the same aliens. I'm not even saying that's a bad thing. Doom basically did the same shit but in an enjoyable way. I don't have much hope for this game. Add to the fact that there isn't much interest so who would I be able to talk about the game with? Just a recipe for a bad game
