I'm not really all that happy with the new courses, either. Ribbon Road, Cheeseland, and SNES Rainbow Road are some of the worst stages to recycle. Ice Ice Outpost and Dragon Driftway are just plain forgettable, boring stages with boring music and boring visuals, especially for this game. Wild Woods isn't particularly difficult or interesting, either, but it's got nice music, and is the closest we'll get to glorious Maple Treeway HD. Mute City was just unfun. Baby Park is alright, but should've come with a lap setting like in Double Dash.

Out of all the extra stages, the only ones that are really stand up to the already GOAT track selection in 8 are Big Blue, Superbell Subway, Animal Crossing, and Wario's Goldmine. They're great stages, don't get me wrong, but 4/16 isn't a good track record.

It also doesn't help that all the new stages are added to MK8 Deluxe for no extra charge, and Nintendo doesn't give a discount for people who already had MK8 and the DLC.

Breath of the Wild has a SHIT season pass. Hero mode showed up in a six year old game. The trial is a smaller Cave of Ordeals, something going back to Wind Waker. The new fast travel item is redundant thanks to 120 shrines being sprinkled throughout the world and placed near key locations. Those two minutes of gliding won't kill you.

Would have guessed Hard Mode would have had shit like "Need to eat twice a day or lose health" or "double number of Guardians in the world" not just standard Zelda Hard Mode.

God I wish this game had some sort of territory warfare function like San Andreas. It would be way cooler if the enemies mobilized as the game went on, with new camps, guard towers and battlements appearing everywhere. 90% of Hyrule is basically left to the monsters, but they have fuck all ability to organize themselves. I really miss a character like King Bulblin that give the regular enemies a leader to gather around.
