Alright, let me explain it to you. Make sure to put aside wanting to win an argument online against some anonymous guy, but you can only gain from learning this.

There are two relevant parts to a throw for what we're talking about. The problem is you think they are one. Let's say you've been knocked down and your opponent does their meaty throw so perfectly that you are waking up into the last active frame of the throw. That is the first part of the throw, you need to understand the second part.

The second part of the throw happens as soon as it connects, as soon as the throw connects their is another tech window, let's just say it's 5 frames because I can't remember how big it actually is. No matter how perfectly they meaty throw you there is always 5 frames where you can tech it after it has connected that CAN NOT be cycled through while you're on the ground.

If you hold back and time your tech so that it comes out during the later active frames of this window, you will tech it. If they did a meaty normal instead and you use this EXACT SAME TIMING you will already be in block stun from blocking that meaty and your tech is nullified by being in block stun. Because a meaty normal is active on the first frame of your wake-up.

Use this information to improve, instead of ignoring it because you want to win a retarded argument on the internet.

No, you're guessing what they're going to do based on what knocked you down. You are straight up guessing unless they do something really reactable or something that isn't real, like dashing in while being negative.

People get throw looped because they don't tech at all for the most part, and rightfully so. Getting thrown in this game does like 100 damage and if you're midscreen odds are you're not going to wake-up into pressure. Getting shimmied (which kills both delayed and normal tech) usually leads into like 300 or more damage and stun then you're put into the corner or just in general have to guess yet again.

You are misappropriating the reasons why good players do or don't do things.

That's been my point the whole time that delayed tech isn't as viable as was initially implied. It's not a catch all, and in fact has numerous counters that make it dangerous to do.

The risk/reward rules for command grabs are different though because they recover slowly enough to where neutral jump results in a huge punish combo.

Like I said earlier. If you think you should literally never ever tech than you're a dumbass. Delay tech is strong because it covers multiple options and more often than not you're going to be using it to tech over just hammer your tech as fast as you can because it covers more options.

EVERY SINGLE DEFENSIVE OPTION in this game has numerous counters that make it dangerous to do, even just blocking which is the safest form of defense. Invincible reversals cost a fucking bar and if you fuck up you're eating at least like 40% of your health meterless and then you're waking up into another guess that will either kill you or stun you. That does not stop even the best players in the world from using invincible reversals when they think they will work.

If you've honestly found some kind of magical defensive technique that can't be blown up hard please let me know.

I already said multiple times it gets blown up by shimmies and neutral jumps and you still continued to argue with me, telling me it doesn't stop meaties and it gets blown up by the things I already said it did.

Options that stop multiple things simultaneously will always be strong, that's one of the reasons people hated SF4, because you had to learn a bunch of retarded OS that caught like 10 things, that's why they're removing jump back throw OS from SFV, because they're trying to move away from that. But they can never ever remove OS like delayed tech simply because it's not possible to remove without completely reworking the game entirely.

The art style they have now is fine and fit the series. SF is a goofy ass looking series. I would hate if they tried to make it look like generic modern animu instead that classic 80's shounen anime style. Unless they go back to 2d, I'm okay with it currently. The hair needs work tho.
