I replay all the halo games on legendary difficulty about once a year. I exclude wars and halo 5 from that list though. Wars a decent game but not really fun on legendary. Halo 5 has a pure garbage campaign so fuck that game.

I would kill for a digimon game similar to world 2 except cut down on the grinding. A friend of mine ran a complete 100% playthrough then did it again emulated, only so he could get Omnimons Garuru Cannon attack which was removed from the main game because it was too OP, which you must be aware of. The games OST is also really fucking underrated

The game itself is what a turn based rpg should be at it's purest. It punishes you heavily for cutting corners and rewards you for doing your work. And most people into it enjoy the grinding, what killed this game was EVERYTHING ELSE. The unskipabble cutscenes every fucking time you get out of your digibeetle, the shitty moving about (fixed in dw3), the fucking dungeon design is shit by 1994 standards..

Anyway you should check out Digimon world dusk/Dawn it's pretty much what you described.. it still has the same dna digivolution meme but it is much much better implement and the game is extremely fun.

I also replay at least one Mega Man Battle Network game every year. There's others I can replay whenever I want but I don't really do it yearly, like Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, and Superstar Saga.

Nothing major in particular but I start a new character in Elona+ pretty much yearly
Usually when depression sets in and I need something to get my mind off the unstoppable advance of death and the idea of no longer existing

There's already a known input delay on the emulation, and in general the mechanic isn't necessary to play the game. I've only ever gotten a max combo once. It wasn't a problem for me last year, so I look forward to it again later this summer
