Is it just me or is Persona 5 anti-capitalist? I just get the vibe because it seems like a lot of the phantom thieves activities involve taking down the wealthy, who seemingly became wealthy through selfish actions.

>boss for the Mafia guy is a literal pig; the pig=rich guy came out of Soviet propaganda
>Haru says "If I accept a happiness based on the misfortune of others, I'd be no better than my father", Haru's father is a literal evil CEO
>Yoshida uses words like 'exploit' in his speeches and is modeled after Kazou Shii of the Japanese communist party

Plenty of other examples but I'm getting the feeling that this game is just more Marxist propaganda
>>
Modern capitalism will lead to future dystopia, a path we are already upon.

Just look at how corporate interests swallow politics whole with their taint.

Why do you blame the developers for seeing with eyes clear?

Greed isn't a new concept. Besides, there aren't any Jewish people in Japan so it can't be propaganda

Greed also exists in communism, it's a class/property system that's the cause.
>>
>>375656724
That's fair, capitalism has its fair share of issues; but the answer is not to be found in Marxism-Leninism, which led to death and destruction wherever it was propagated. The answer, as it always has been, is synthesis and safe experimentation with politics. For example, we found out that universal healthcare can work out pretty well, alright, cool. Baby steps. Murdering all the rich people in a country and creating a full on planned economy is just retarded, though

The last group of Europeans to be 'assimilated' under Catholic control were the (modern day) Estonians, who were still naked and worshipping rocks in the mid 15th century. If we had continued to isolate them, do you think they would have magically become modern over 500 years or do you think they would still be running around naked worshipping rocks?

People at least aren't chained to corporations and forced to work themselves to the bone to support themselves alone, at least not on a major scale. From all the studies I've read over the years, while black kids raised by white parents tend to fair the same intellectually/academically as black kids raised by their biological parents, they fair far better on a social level. They're far less likely to fall into the same statistical pitfalls as black kids raised in black families.

Blacks and whites clearly aren't the same, but most of the the problems with blacks (American blacks anyway) are a direct result of the environment and circumstances with which they are raised.

Privatised police forces generally turn into thugs for hire, and privatized firemen are just as bad/ They had that in Ancient Rome, you know

>Firefighters were slaves that would sit outside your house and watch it burn
>Their owner will tell you that they'll put out the fire, but only for a ridiculously high cost
>He'll keep pushing the price up as more of your house burns down until you literally can't afford it and you lose your house or you cave in

Hell, there was a senator who did something similar to this where he would BUY the house off you instead but at an extremely low price. He'd keep lowballing you even further as more of your house burnt down. He was able to get a lot of land very cheaply this way. Some people even suspect he started fires himself

Good luck getting him arrested with a privatised police force though, since he can just buy them all out

They get loads of welfare and benefits shoveled their way and they still shit all over their communities. They really just need some incentive to sort their own shit out; namely stop giving them any government aid at all because that clearly gives them a reason to be nihilistic, just like the stupid urban punks in England.

Evolution constantly mutates regardless of environment; some mutations thrive and others die. There is no programming; it's all chaos.

It's not chaos if it occurs because of environmental causes and factors. Those are measurable and certain. Mutations don't survive unless they're beneficial or neutral. Developing eyes, for example, was a distinct advantage in the animal kingdom for a majority of species. There are a set of rules that your "chaos" plays by.

>occurs because of environmental causes and factors.
It works the other way around. The mutations survive because they beneficial, not because the environment itself caused them to be that way. Life is another species of death; it's just matter in motion. Things in nature are simply similar to other things; there is no abstract universality, only the nominal.

why can't we put darwinian algorithms into a computer and see something having the complexity of life in a computer? We should see the evolutionary process right now with the tools we have today.

Maybe you know-it-alls should answer doctor Berlinski, also tell him why you can't make a genetic algorithm without meddling with the thing constantly, if darwinian theory is to be accepted.

How come mutations are the engine of genetic diversity if they're mostly deleterious? Why if we randomly change the code of a program, it will experience catastrophic failure but this isn't happening with living systems? That makes no sense.

And in terms of saying how current healthcare doesn't work, if you consider current healthcare free market then pull the other one m8 it's got bells on.

>Tax isn't theft when it is used to the benefit of society. Something many libertarians I know aren't able to understand.
That's retarded. "It's not theft if I like what the thief does with it". I mean I don't actually think taxation is theft but that's still an incredibly retarded way to say it.

>The mutations survive because they beneficial, not because the environment itself caused them to be that way.
This is the dumbest thing I've read all day and I've been on here for hours.

Beneficial as a frame of reference to what? THE ENVIRONMENT dumbass. There is no "Forward" in evolution. There is simply better suited to the *current* environment. Any change in the environment that puts enough pressure on the system will result in the system readjusting to equilibrium (given time) via the propagation of originally random genes expressed more often through a population. That's literally evolution 101. The environment might not directly effect the individual mutations, but the environment is the sole factor in which genes become expressed throughout the population and which fall to the wayside.

The problem is that japs stopped being capitalistic in 1989+-. In 1990 they fell for Keynes meme and created welfare state "utopia" that ended up as any welfare state: corporatism and crony capitalism. Bribes. connections, shady deals is the only thing that can help you to climb the social ladder in crony capitalism environment. For example, the market is pretty much split between japanese corporations that are well protected by their government and good luck becoming a new big company with that mess. And everything ended up in 20 years of recession and growing!(picrelated)

There's nothing dumb about it. The environment is a frame of reference for which gene is suitable for the environment, not how the genes are determined by the environment.

Except the government looks to each individual company as the provider for actual medical needs, they aren't going to provide it themselves. Companies would have to compete for government business.

This means that instead of "competing" with other companies by meeting together and deciding who is in charge of what location of America, the government sets standards in contract that have to be met or they find another company.

> mutations survive because they beneficial, not because the environment itself caused them to be that way.

Except he's pretty much right. Mutations in DNA are random. They can be good or bad depending on circumstance. Bears living in/near the artic didn't turn white because they lived near snow. They turned white because one day a white bear was born from a brown bear. This bear was white out of pure chance and it turned out he was able to camouflage himself better while hunting in the snow. He got more food than other bears, had bear sex because of it, now there are polar bears.

If that same white bear had been born in South Carolina he would've died from starvation because he's really easy to spot at a distance. That's how natural selection works. They are random mutations in DNA that just happen to be beneficial and get passed on because of their benefit.
