Sicne I played this I uninstalled league and never looked back. It removed all the cancer (last hitting, boring lanephase, individualized gameplay in team tactics game) and made it more fun.

It's a great game, best f2p game on the market imo. Best part is that you can easily grind shit together and have plenty of time left for yer job, private life and other vidya.

The design of it goes against the usual gameplay flow of a moba, and there are character gimmicks that are blatantly broken, stealth being one of them as the game offers no counterplay to it outside specific heroes and even then they will have to sacrifice a talent choice for that.

2013 pub dota used to be about gaining incremental advantages from ganking, pushing, farming, stacking etc. and then amassing those advantages to a big advantage that you can take t2s and roshan and then the base with. if one team was strictly better than the other, that team typically won within 25 minutes

2013 pub dota is now like a big fuckfest of pointless ganking, pointless pushing, pointless lane bullying and so on. nothing really matters since the game will grind to a screeching halt when the subject of high ground pushing comes in to play. then eventually a support will get enough passive gold to buy a blink dagger, and now that support can solokill the enemy core lina and get 1500g and then the gold difference graph resets to 0 and we're back to just running down mid and killing whoever we find

i actually liked playing support in the game in like 2013. climbed to like 5.5k playing bane and skywrath mage and stuff. it was fun because my actions had impact and the game ended pretty quickly if i did well. but now after valve has "made support more fun" it's just a dumb semi-carry role except you're just killing time until you can buy a blink aghs or whatever and then kill an enemy squishy. the game will go to 50 minutes anyway so might as well buy midas and just fuck around alt tabbed on 4chan for half the game

it's not the new patch, dota has been fucked since like 2014 when they first added comeback mechanics. the game wasn't really shit at that point though since HG pushing wasn't that difficult. but every patch since then has been valve doubling down on their "gotta make esports look good and 3k retards happy" line of thinking and has made pushing more difficult, gold more abundant, kills easier etc. etc.

7.0 has been the ultimate double-down on the whole concept for a multitude of reasons

Yes, it's so good everyone installed it only for the event and only played 5 matches. I barely could find enemies at the end of the event.

by the way i recommend playing a couple games of HoN because that game is pretty close to 2011 dota in terms of overall game feel (if you disregard the godawful visual design and occasional dumb hero designs)
