To gear up you should check out where the stuff you want drops and then level/grind there, or buy it from other players.

the trick is to get your merchant to lvl 79 to leech off an abbey party. sharp leaf quest turn in your way to 79 with a hunter to farm sharps the rest of the merchant leveling is pretty simple stuff since exp rates so high. if youre blacksmith it should be easier, alchemists are only for afking or bg/woe/mvping .

No, that's a pretty dumb comparison. RO has the Kafra girls to act as warp points, and while TERA is the only game I can remember how flying works in, that gives you specific transport points rather than freedom. @go is just an instant warp from any map to any other map, it removes the entire aspect of traversing the game world to just make the focus on where you're going to grind next, when RO's amazing and massively connected world was one of its best features.

Tell me something, devfag. How 'hard' it is to create custom content for your server? I've been reading the rathena wiki and it seems pretty straight forward, you just have to create new entries for a bunch of files and headers. However, the tutorial only covers the creation of already existing mechanics, what if I want something new? Say as an example, I want a new card that expands the radius of Stormgust by 1 cell, is it even possible to implement said card in that clusterfuck that are RO's files?

Lemme predict how this will go like the other 90% of times

In sphinx 4/5 they added a monster called Anubis. This monster gives 28k exp on 1x rates and it's undead.

This meant that everyone and their mother made a priest to use TU and insta kill anubis to either level themselves or, leech their chars.

On a 1x rate, you are going to get 0.1% exp at 98 non trans class for every 3 anubis killed. On a 50%, EACH anubis is going to give you 1.4% at 98.

That's why everyone rushes priests.

No matter what gear you have, your bio with Mjolnir and double Brisingamen won't out dps a bio with strings.

Mr Kim is the best thing to have as well if you have a decent grinding party.

Paladins are needed for Devo in a lot of high end mvps and also in WoE.
