Can't decide between unholy dk or enhance shaman for my main come legion. Both look like fun but I can't bring myself to pick one over the other. Thinking dk will win out since I can always tank if need be.

WoD was so boring that I ended up with a lot of characters at max level. I'll have a lot of new spec testing to do before the expansion is out.

The actual MCH rotation is 5 buttons. Everything else is a 60second/90second/3min CD. At least 5 of the buttons on there are shit you won't hit outside of Savage Alex. You hit about 20 of them in a 15 second window at the start of the fight and then proceed to be a wet noodle for 90 seconds pushing the 5 buttons of the main rotation. So long story short, FFXIV has a shitton of cooldowns that could be consolidated.

Using jutsus in FFXIV is fun. You have 3 skills that are like hand seals and combining them in certain order you can unleash diferent jutsus.

I have only played Warrior since vanilla and trying to play that shit in WoD is what finally got me to quit the damn game. Arms was a complete 2 button joke of a spec and fury wasn't much better until super high ilvls LIKE ALWAYS. I was usually main tank for my guild anyway but even that lost its luster in this expansion.

Blizz fucked up with the warrior pruning in WoD and lost a shit ton of the warrior mains.

Assassination is fine, just incredibly easy and boring to play. You have 4 buttons with Mutilate, Garrote, Rupture and Envenom. Garrote and Rupture are 2 dots you have to keep up, but Garrote has a 15 second cd so it's literally impossible to fuck it up.
So you only need to actually pay attention to one dot and the rest is just Mutilate-Mutilate-Envenom-repeat

Outlaw is fun, Pistol Shot is awesome, Run Through actually being a leap works amazingly well, but Roll the Bones is the worst atrocity I have ever seen in this entire class. Thank god you can replace it with Slice and Dice or I would never play this.

Subtlety is fine, but just weird as fuck. Blizzard made the retarded decision that Shadow Dance no longer activates your stealth bar and has removed the entire api functionality for it, so you now have to keybind all your stealth abilities separately, where before you were able to re-use the same binds.

Thoughts on shaman talents. Not sure what I want to take.

My first though was to go with this. Basically, all the enhancements possible. Windsong, Frostbrand, Flametongue and Rockbiter all enhance melee attacks, which helps with Stormlash, which in turn is boosted thanks to the talent.

Is there a generally agreed upon build that people on the PTR use? I'm not trying to go full cookie-cutter, I just want ideas.

Probably the weirdest change to Hunters, despite pushing spec diversity, is that each one wants to stack Mastery now.

I swapped all my MM crit enchant/gems to Mastery and gained a 25% flat damage boost while trading off 10% crit (50% -> 40%)
Mastery increases Mongoose Bite procs for SV, making it crucial in order to increase opportunities to drop 3+ Bites.
BM is obvious since it still boosts your pet damage and now you have 1000 more pets.

For Draenor timewalking maybe, but Pandaria isn't even in the game. For older expansions it scales down to 1-2% extra damage every two minutes. The legendaries really don't do that much, it's mostly for looking cool, and things like the melee cloak and Shadowmourne have really noticeable effects. Now that I think about it, the ring does too. But for a ring slot, you're better off with a regular one having stats you want.

Timewalking has always been too easy, on my warrior I can just chain executes and do more than half of my groups damage in each dungeon. Some classes are just better than others.

Even if you're getting 2000% bonus on the 500 artifact power tokens, you still need 100 of them to get the final rank on your weapon, and those tokens are rare as fuck, most of the tkens you're going to get is 10-20 base

And unless you're already in a guild or clique to carry you, you're screwed for raiding outside of LFR until you get that final rank.

Its pretty much welfare legendary problem 3.0, except its available at the start of the expansion.
