I tried hard mode for a bit, but got my ass handed to me by a bandit who could one-shot me from full health. Is this a common theme in hard mode? I switched to normal, but now it feels like the rest of the challenge is neutered. I like the idea of taking my adventure a bit more seriously, but the OHKO is a turn off. What's the best inclinations for making a fighter/warrior pawn that exist to fuck shit up? Like their sole job is to kill everything as best they can.

My current fighter pawn is ok but she seems to focus on drawing enemy attention and occasionally grabbing archers/mages calling for me to kill them while she has them locked up.

She doesn't seem to fight enough, just blocks a lot does the shield taunt. I want to say she is scather/challenger right now but I'm in class and I can't remember. Back when I played on the 360 when it first came out my pawn was a wrecking ball who launched themself into the middle of a fight and wreck face, so I want that back.

Right, but again, it's a QoL improvement. It's annoying as hell to have to stop and catch your breath every minute over the full course of traveling to another side of the map. It's also annoying as hell to constantly have to deposit almost all your items and/or offload them to pawns. I mean, we can argue semantics all day, but it's a very useful tweak for many players, hence why it's the fifth highest downloaded mod available.

TL;DR - There's a huge difference between a cheat like max attack power versus a "cheat" like unlimited sprint that'd only help when fleeing battle (which is rare for most players.) Also, the game gives you unlimited sprint anyway via infinite mushrooms.

i need help, my main pawn is pioneer medicant utilitarian. i want med util and then whatever but if i use potions or pawn chair its just swapping out whatever i have in second. For example when i use a Util potion i get pioneer util medicant, when i use medicant potion i get pioneer medicant utilitarian.

That's because everyone plays the game at the start without considering the final, or few, vocations that they want their main pawn to be. I'll use myself as an example. Back when this game first came out, I rolled a strider and climbed shit while I made my main pawn a fighter. Now, instead of using dragon's maw all the fucking time like I would like her to, she insists on climbing everything to get to the weak point. Now, this isn't too too bad for things like Daimon, but it's a little annoying when she climbs "medium" sized enemies instead of just fighting them.

the ferry stone is by far the best thing in the game cause it has so much fucking walking.

i went to buy the fouverinsiraisroiro paper to make him not get jailed sold by the guy in the middle of fuck really far away from gran soren right, i napped at the guy who lets you nap at his tent and then i died at the dragon nearby.
i then used a ferrystone to get to gran soren to use the paper for fournival and it turned out i didnt have the paper cause i bought the paper, THEN died to the dragon, so i never actually bought it.

i am livid and will uninstall this bullshit game, fuck the stupid walking distances.
at least give me a horse or something fuck

Deathly Arrow or whatever its called is pretty strong, has insane knockback and hurts like a bitch for when things have too much defense for 10 fold. Spiral arrow is great for using status arrows - you get a bunch of hits out of a single arrow, too bad the hotkeys are curatives and the lamp only for some reason. Din is great for stunning/staggering all kinds of shit. A great gamble to the weak point pretty much makes it explode, and with stamina items on hotkeys you can use it pretty often if you want to.
