The new control system has been around since 1999, when it debuted in Resident Evil 2 N64 thanks to porting team Rockstar San Diego.

Fortunately, tank controls are available for those uncomfortable with the improved gameplay. Special glasses to recreate the authentic experience of not being able to see that small key sitting a table on your blurry CRT will also be made available.

I like RE3s controls.

They were still tank but they added in a quick 180 degree turn.

I didn't care for the dodge feature since it made it too easy once you learned when/how to do it.

I don't consider it artificial difficulty since the game was designed with this control setup in mind.

But since these days people want a smooth, streamlines control scheme they had to retrofit it for the newfags.

This happened with KH Chain of Memories, too. On GBA you had a small screen and your movement options were limited, but in RE:CoM you have full 3D movement and most of the combat is trivialized by it because your dodge roll is way more useful than it was on GBA where you had to push a direction twice to roll

While story and lore was utter shit, game itself was a classic RE experience 101. Minus was the lack of backgrounds but full 3d has its own dreamcast unique charm and atmosphere that I can appreciate and enjoy.

Also I am starting to avoid making or posting in RE threads as much as possible. People who are too retarded to grasp the tank controls are starting to trigger me way too much.
