The real problem vocal do not fit the song. Her voice fits the SPIKA songs as they were made for her vocals but not Trails in the Sky SC opening song. They would have been better off just making a new song for her.

well, the roadblock standing in the way is that the zero/ao PC versions were chinese ports that dont even run at 1080p and are filled with DRM. only one of them, zero, was released in Japan on PC but that was just the chinese port with the DRM ripped out.

Oh yeah the quartz system is definitely more complex. In CS you get arts right from quartz, but in Sky you need combinations of quartz to get different arts. And each character's orbments have different setups in terms of lines and such so WHERE you put the quartz matters just as much as which quartz you use. Moving a quartz from one line to another on the same orbment can make a big difference

for ys, they added widescreen support when the originals had none, and even added a new difficulty setting for napishtim.

as someone who works in dev myself I can totally see how some of the issues with SC ended up accidentally making it to release, and they fixed most of the problems on the first week of release. note, i understand where the consumer's coming from in this case but, like, they really did a shitload of things for FC/SC. you should see what their bug-fixing blog looks like, whether it be black voids or teleporting or model swapping.

FC was unplayable for a lot of people on release day, it crashed on startup, when opening shops, it was a mess.

SC had significantly less glaring issues but still has its fair share. Exploding sprites, floating corpses for the minor stuff. Invisible walls everywhere (Chapter 6 is a gigantic pain in the ass with this shit) and broken event flags in the final chapter making a lot of people miss out on a boss fight for the really bad stuff.

Yes, it was a Christmas gift. But I'll have to wait until I finish the first game (I'm getting to the end of Chapter 3 of 4). Too bad I (obviously) can't move save files between the PSP and Steam.

Well, I think we're judging based on different criteria here. I say pick max BP because the story and character interaction is what I play the series for, and max BP will let you see all the bonding events (minus festival stuff) in a single playthrough which is nice.

If you're trophy hunting or want completion then yeah, it's not the optimal choice.

Problem with the new system is that with the old one you could balance Stats and Arts, while the new one only let's you choose one or the other (Unless your grind your ass for U-materials to trade for rare quartz on Micht's shop)
