If it's a rich open world, where you hunt monster of progressive difficulty, and use their prats for better armour and weapons, and can play 4 player coop, and can have a pet animal, like a little cat, maybe a robot cat to help you when playing solo. then Yeah, definitely.

Halo 5's problem right now for mp (the story kind of sucks, but the level design is good) is lack of variety in its game modes, not splitscreen. It's an extremely well made and to a degree overly polished shooter, and the most competitive friendly since 2 (though probably least casual friendly in the series).

Also, if you understood how the game works, you'd know why splitscreen literally is impossible in it. It sucks that it's not there, but I'll take 60 fps over splitscreen + 30fps.

Shoot a guy, and you VISUALLY see him get hit by either a shield flicker or a blood splatter. This is one of the things that makes Halo's gunplay so satisfying, and unfortunately why, despite being massively improved from Halo 4 with breakable armor pieces, prometheans still kind of suck as enemies. Halo is arguably one of the most responsive shooters of all time.

Nah, each Halo except 4 has been ground breaking in one way or another.
2 was not only one of the first online console shooters ever, it remains to this day one of the most competitive, and also one of the most entertaining speedruns too.
3 was fucking amazing when it came to customizing your experience via forge and game types.
Reach raised the bar even further via forge, though unfortunately lowered it quite a bit for multiplayer
4 sucks, though it's still a solid shooter with mostly solid mechanics.
5 goes back to 2's focus on tight and competitive gameplay, while also having the best forge yet, and one of the best mutliplayer level creators in a game ever.

As someone who owned Killzone 2, the game was absolutely terrible. The controls felt incredibly unresponsive, the field of view was absolutely tiny, and the whole game is just one big linear setpiece where you are constantly being screamed at by your AI hand-holder to "MOVE THERE, SHOOT THAT GUY, BLOW UP THAT TANK, SNEAK UP ON THIS GUY".

I would rather hammer nails into my head than play that piece of shit game again.

That's how any vidya site is though. I was on Gamespot when it was N64 and PS1, elementary school was Genesis or SNES. And it seems everyone at my job has an Xbone when I mention I have a ps4.

Setting looks really neat, and knowing Guerill's track record it will be the most technically impressive game on PS4 at the very least. Hopefully there is good gameplay to keep you playing after the spectacle has worn off.
