I didn't find it emotional. I liked pretty much every character except Chloe, who was written so poorly and unlikable that I think it was Dontnod's intent to kill the dumb bitch at the end. Story was pretty weak at the end, but overall I enjoyed the game. I thought the soundtrack was fucking fantastic and I actually really enjoyed the hipster atmosphere and art style

Has the limited edition been released yet? I've been waiting on it to pirate the soundtrack. Obviously the licensed tracks were good, but I thought the entire soundtrack was top tier.

Gone Home has many positive things about it, at least on a walking simulator scale.
If the ending wasn't so unsatisfying and the lesbo sister was only a subplot, it would've probably been better received.
It's great how the "game" constantly teases supernatural elements without there really being anything, and the atmosphere in the house is amazing in general

I enjoyed the game. It has both strengths and weaknesses but I can still enjoy it despite that.

Admittedly, the ending was kind of lame. As many people point out, it really only boils down to the final choice. I still think there's a lot of good in the game though. The rewinding was cool because you could explore different dialogue trees and in some instances, uncover new dialogue options. To those who say things like "the dialogue is ultra cringey" think about all the stupid stuff you said back in high school for a minute or rather, when you first discovered 4chan.
